  1. Fellow Marvel-ites, what are your thoughts about Black Widow’s arrow necklace? Is she in love with Hawkeye? Is it just a “besties forever!” token?

    • They said their relationship status will be revealed in Age of Ultron; I think it is a “love” thingy, although i’d like it a whole lot more if Natasha would get involved with The Winter Soldier, like they actually do in the comic

  2. Grillo was a scene stealer. Crossbones needs a power boost.

Bring on Taskmaster, because he could be Cap’s Kryptonite.

  3. Did anyone get a weird feeling during the flashback after Rodger’s parent funeral that Bucky knew where the key to the apt was when Steve was expecting it to be in his pocket. Are they planning a twist in the Bucky storyline where Bucky had ties to bad guys before becoming the Winter Soldier?
After all Stark’s parents were targeted by Hydra, why not Rodgers?
Is there something special about Rodger’s parents that Hydra needed them removed?
Was Steve set up to become Cap by Hydra for a bigger purpose?

    • Does anyone think the crude version of Zola’s algorithm was already in place and working and that lead to the targeting of Steve’s parents?

    • Bucky and Steve were best friends, why wouldn’t Bucky know where Seteve’s housekey is? Steve was among many things, a klutz, and he most likely always forgot and lost his housekeys. And I highly doubt that Steve’s parents had anything to do with HYDRA as it was a German and Nazi based organization before Cap took down Red Skull. We know that Steve’s father fought in WWI (for America) so he couldn’t have been been involved in a Nazi organization. Nor is Rogers a german name, as it derives from an Anglo-Saxon last name. Which means that Steve’s immagrated from England. Tony’s parents were targeted by HYDRA because Howard Stark created SHIELD and he most likely got in the way of the HYDRA regime in SHIELD. HYDRA never wanted Doctor Erskine to leave Europe, much less create a super soldier for America.

    • I think that they put that in there to show how close Bucky and Steve were. He knew where the key to the house was, just like a family member would know. I’m not sure if it was supposed to signify something more, but I hope not

  4. Did anyone notice when repairing the Winter Soldier’s arm that the tool emitted a blue light like the Tessaract?
Was the arm created in the comics and powered by something similar?

  5. I noticed a “mistake” in the film, was wondering if anyone can clear it up for me. Cap’s shield is made out of Vibranium. I noticed that when Batroc The Leaper was kicking his shield, it was knocking Cap backwards. That shouldn’t have happened. Also, I noticed during the street confrontation, The Winter Soldier shot a grenade from a grenade launcher directly at Cap’s shield and he went flying. Shouldn’t his shield have completely withstood these attacks (considering he can block Thor’s hammer)??

    • The way I see it in the films is that the shield does absob the attacks but Cap can still be pushed back to certain degree, cos Cap is not made of vibranium, so if Cap is off balence he still be knocked back
Also Shockwaves won’t focus onto the shield – like a grenade blast will expand over an area to push the man back, or with the Thor’s hammer thing afterwards everyone had to stand up cos they got knockdown by the massive blast
not sure how Batroc does it I guess its like strength thing, where attacks are absorbed but you can still push back against the man (Cap) like when Bucky is punching the Shield but holds and then pushes against Cap who needs to use both arms on the Shield to help take the force from the bionic arm pushing against it

But I think its mostly just whatever the film makers want to make things look awesome

  6. A Natasha/Clint (BW/Hawkeye) relationship would rule out the possibility of a Mockingbird in the near future I guess? Not that I actually see a need for her introduction. There’s little difference skill-wise between her and the Widow. The character I’ve been clamouring for for awhile now to see on the big screen is Namor. To me he’s the next obvious thing and yet Feige hasn’t given him a mention. A damn shame. His hero/villain arrogant persona makes him quite interesting- like a rasher Magneto. I think he should be a villain in one of the upcoming movies- maybe IM4 or Cap3. I recall a director having interest in doing a movie some years back. Didn’t see light of day. However I see that as a surer hit than Ant Man or GoG. But I guess Marvel sees differently for now.

    • I think fox has the rights for namor…

      • Universal has them.

  7. i have some questions that have been bothering me for a while now and i just don’t seem to find the answers to them. Maybe the don’t even have answers but i’ll ask just in case. Do you know why HYDRA chosee bucky to be this ‘soldier’? Why bucky when they could have picked another person? Did they know that captain america was going to be around again? And why on the first place would hydra want like a villain?

    • I’m guessing they chose Bucky for a couple of different reasons.

1.) He had already been experimented on by HYDRA and had been given something probably similar to Steve’s serum, making him already powerful enough strength-wise to make an excellent asset.

2.) It’s possible that Bucky suffered some form of amnesia as a result of his fall from the train and, not knowing who he was or anything about himself, would have been easier for HYDRA to control and brainwash.

3.) I can’t imagine HYDRA having qualms about torturing an American soldier instead of one of their own. Bucky was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time when they found him, so why sacrifice a perfectly good HYDRA soldier when they could make one out of one of their biggest foes, a Howling Commando.

All just educated guesses, but those are my thoughts.

  8. what i want to know is if Steve rogers will supposedly die and Bucky will take over the Captain America role, and if so why if that would just be confusing and sad!?

  9. this may have been answered already but I’m too lazy to go through the comments… did anyone seem it interesting after the freeway attack, how the winter soldier chose to go after Natasha instead of captain? I just would think he’d go after captain? wonder if this is a little hint to a possible past w/ her besides him shooting through her… he was an assassin for the Russians right? just a thought….

    • I assumed it’s cuz Tasha landed a shot on him and he was pissed off by it. If he hadn’t been wearing those goggles, he would probably have lost an eye, and after taking the goggles of he seemed pretty pissed when he was shooting at where he thought she was beneath the bridge. Pretty sure it was a revenge thing.

    • The Black Widow was part of the Black Widow Program which is a group of female sleeper soldiers and the Winter Soldier was a trainer for the women involved in said program. So maybe they will follow the comics a bit on that. Maybe we will see so truth reviled from a really good double agent that will make her fellow team mates wonder if they can trust her or not.

  10. James Bucky Barnes looks really cool specially his costume, I gonna get this from “Slimfit Jackets” online store.
