The Los Angeles world premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier isn't until Wednesday, with early screenings for the press junket and media happening tonight, yet spoilers are already finding their way online. For fans looking for the latest info but don't want to be spoiled, it's going to be a treacherous few weeks until the sequel hits UK theaters on March 28th, and a week later on April 4th in North America.

That's the nature of the beast with Marvel, as they and other movie studios do their best to keep twists and secrets under wraps and savor the moviegoing experience for their geek-friendly big-budget features. And for every 'real' leak, there are several times that in fake rumors. The rumor about the Captain America 2 post-credits scene from a month ago however, might just be one of the accurate ones...

Continue to the second page for potential major spoilers, but for those of you looking for lots of great info on The Winter Soldier and don't want to be spoiled, read our on-set interviews with the cast and crew of the film:

The Avengers 2 - Baron Wolfgang von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann)

If you're reading this then you've crossed that line and are interested in finding out what exactly we may see during and after the credits of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. If you've been following along, it won't surprise you.

According to a very early review of the film, there are two scenes to watch after the film ends and the credits roll, just like Thor: The Dark World and The Avengers. Every Marvel movie will have at least one 'button' during the credits so look for that. We previously heard from Lainey Gossip a month ago that new Avengers Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) were going to show up in the Captain America 2 post-credits scene, in costume, and that they'd be referenced as "the twins." A month later and we have this from Brain Freeze (translated via Google):

Scene 1:

After the fall of both SHIELD and HYDRA we see Baron Von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann) in his underground laboratory. His men have the scepter of Loki got hold of, as well as two special prisoners.None other than Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). The superfast Quicksilver bounces from one side of his cell to another, while Scarlet Witch few blocks stacks with her thoughts. Von Strucker proclaims that "The Age of Miracles" is near. And thus we immediately know how mutants are listed in the Marvel movie universe.

Scene 2:

We see the Winter Soldier incognito Captain America-exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum. Here he encounters the information about James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes. It plays threatening music, but this Winter Soldier seems indeed to have who he really is and that Captain America was telling the truth.

The spoilers not only add more credence to the earlier report of the Quicksilver-Scarlet Witch tease, but talk about the main story of the film covering the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D.. I suppose this is also confirmation that HYDRA is back as well so we wonder if we'll start seeing that in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC soon since the Marvel TV series is supposed to tie-in to the film as well.

The "Age of Miracles" namedrop is interesting, assuming that's the correct translation, since we know Marvel Studios cannot use the term "mutants." They'll officially be dubbed "registered gifted" and although we don't know the origins of their powers just yet, we think it could have something to do with The Inhumans, another property Marvel might be looking to adapt after The Avengers: Age of Ultron in Phase 3 of the franchise.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver as Avengers

Scarlet Witch's powers in particular are difficult to explain since in the comics she can alter probability and reality. In the film it sounds as if she can do several things, from telekinesis, to mind-reading and according to Olsen, the ability to communicate with paranormal things from the past, future and other universes, hinting that she can read the history of an object by touching it.

As for Thomas Kretschmann showing up as well as Baron Von Strucker, that comes as no surprise either since we previously reported that the beginning of The Avengers: Age of Ultron might feature him and the "twins" (read more on that here) - now we know what it may be about. A prison rescue? Kretschmann revealed last week that he has a multi-picture deal with Marvel so expect him to have a potentially larger role in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With Captain America: The Winter Soldier serving as the most connected "bridge" of sorts between The Avengers and its followup, introducing the newcomers here makes the most sense. Fans looking for a Guardians of the Galaxy tease will get the trailer playing before it so there's no need to worry. We hope that Marvel does something special and adds an extra-long cut of the trailer or an extended scene for Guardians like they did for Cap 2 before Thor: The Dark World. We'll find out in a few weeks either way.
