Marvel Quicksilver Scarlet Witch Cartoon Captain America 2 Post Credits Scene Details Leaked?

According to Lainey Gossip who claim to have knowledge of what’s coming after the credits for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, moviegoers will meet the two new Avengers joining the roster for Age of Ultron. We do know that with the film releasing in March for some markets there is a rough cut of the complete film, but how this source saw it or has knowledge of it is anyone’s guess. Regardless of the how, if they’re to be believed, they are dropping the bomb on who shows up:

They’re calling them “The Twins”, the brother-sister team of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and they don’t look like any Marvel heroes we’ve met to date. Having seen them, I am really sad for Fox and the X-Men…

We’ve known since before Iron Man 3 hit theaters that The Avengers 2 writer and director was planning to introduce the “brother-sister act” of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, two of his favorite characters from the comics. They’re an interesting pair not only because of their powers – which have yet to be explained since Marvel cannot label them as “mutants” – but because they begin as villains of sorts, characters who don’t necessarily believe in how The Avengers operate. Since they’re an essential part of the story of The Avengers: Age of Ulton – played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen – the Captain America sequel is the best place to have them cameo – especially considering the last film before The Avengers 2 is Guardians of the Galaxy and that takes place 95% in space and may not hit an audience as big as Cap 2.

From Lainey Gossip’s word choice, it sounds like the pair are going to have an interesting costume design, perhaps something a little more faithful to the books than what we’ve seen from Twentieth Century Fox’s take on the characters in X-Men: Days of Future Past. We’re now wondering if the characters and their backgrounds tie into the final stretch of episodes of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC. There is going to be some connection between the show and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we’re just waiting to see if its meaningful or as thin as the Thor: The Dark World tie-in episode.

  1. @ Kevin

    • … I’m just hoping that we’ll have ‘Adults’ and not ‘Children’ (Fox you dummies…)

  2. I’d get excited but…

    * We didn’t get the scene of them eating shawarma/kebabs in The Avengers due to the scene being filmed AFTER its UK release (bummer) so who’s to say they won’t add this to the US release in April and ignore the UK release in March (crappy theory but plausible I guess)?

    * Does no one remember the “Stark meets the Guardians” rumour for the IM3 button scene that never was?

  3. I agree with you Dazz about the IM3 button scene that was rumored. People need to calm down for real.

  4. I wonder how much it would cost Disney/Marvel to just be able to say the word mutant.

    • why bother using the word mutant then. they can still be mutants since all fox got was a title. Just call them something else gifted works for example and say gifted are people were gifted/born with their power and activated later. not very difficult.

  5. Glad 2-C Quickie and SW in The Avengers. My next goal? Let’s see Goliath (Hank Pym) and Wasp in there as well!!!

    • If you want Goliath, you’d be more likely to see the Bill Foster version on film.

  6. I’m excited to see SW and QC but I would like to point something out – In the Phase 1 franchise – The first Iron Man movie was not the first one to have what you call a ‘button ending’ – The first Phase 1 movie to have it’s first ‘button scene’ was HULK (ED NORTON) – Where the General and Stark met in a bar, therefore introducing him as the character of Iron Man.

    • Iron Man came out a month before The Incredible Hulk, at least in the UK it did, so Iron Man was the first film to have the button ending

  7. so, is magneto gonna find out his kids are up to no good. afterall SW/QS are.. man that crossover would do so much good, if they flew into XMen future past.. just as the credits roll, at the end of XMen future past, QS/DW gets a visit from Magneto and he tells them that he saw them with The Avengers, and his last line is, “Oh, btw… I’m Magneto. Your Father. It’s time for you both to come with me. We have alot to discuss.”
