Life Unexpected (The CW)

Airs: Tuesdays @9pm
Total episodes this season: 13
Average rating: 1.52 million viewers
Fate: TBD May 2011 (cancellation expected)
Explanation: Last year, Life Unexpected was one of television’s dark horses. Even though the series was critically acclaimed, it struggled to find an audience. Fortunately, The CW put faith in the freshman series and gave it a second season. Although, with rating numbers slipping, it appears that this series will end in its sophomore year.

Running Wilde (Fox)

Airs: Tuesdays @9:30pm (removed for November sweeps)
Total episodes this season: 13
Average rating: 4.08 million viewers
Fate: TBD (cancellation expected)
Explanation: After Arrested Development became a cult hit, everyone has been waiting to see what would happen when creator Mitch Hurwitz and Will Arnett got together to create the new series Running Wilde. Unfortunately, everyone saw what happened… and it wasn’t good. Despite recasting the series before the premiere, Running Wilde failed to deliver the comedy that people came to love from Arrested Development. While the fate of this series has yet to be announced, don’t expect it to stick around.

[Update] – While Fox decide to remove Running Wilde from its line-up during November sweeps (a time when networks fight for the highest ratings), the series has yet to be canceled. “Yet” being the key word.

If we have forgotten a series or you have any questions, don’t hesitate leaving a comment below. Although, knowing our readers, I don’t think that will be a problem.
