A couple of weeks ago Screen Rant reported on the word that Sylvester Stallone was pursuing Sandra Bullock for his new project The Expendables. Well it appears that has been disregarded by a Nu Image/Millenium spokesperson as “merely wishful thinking for fans.”
Well that’s disappointing. (Although offline, site-runner Vic did say he thought it highly unlikely Bullock would appear in the film.)
I was really looking forward to the notion of seeing Stallone and Bullock reunite after well over a decade since they appeared together in Demolition Man. They had good chemistry together in that flick and it’s a shame we won’t get to see that again in The Expendables.

On a more positive note, Forest Whitaker, who was touted to appear in the film, is officially in negotiations. If the deal is clinched he will play:
“…the CIA liaison for a group of mercenaries (played by Stallone, Jet Li, Randy Couture and Jason Statham) who are clandestinely sent to South America to overthrow a dictator.”
Like I said in my other post I think The Expendables looks very promising. Stallone writing, directing and starring in the thing, alongside Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lungren and now what looks like Oscar winning Forest Whitaker as well? Yes, please.
Are you disappointed that Bullock won’t be in it after all? And what about the notion of Whitaker starring?

Well, I guess if she prefers to fade away slowly through forgettable romantic comedies, then so be it, lol. Maybe she will retire where she can wear tie-dye shirts, bandana’s, peace signs, and hug trees while smoking weed all she wants…
like Ken said, this is the way the fade away…
I wish we could see her once more in this kinda role on the big screen. Too bad!
I’d like to see Sandy too but oh well if there’s a need for a female role they’ll find some unknown hot chick with questionable acting skills but obvious assets.

Your comment reads harsh, Firstly you speak about her as-though she turned the role down, when in fact she was never offered the role in the first place.
Second she is not a hippie she is merely pro environment and not only acts but takes an active interest in her business.

Oops, I thought from the other topic about this that she was offered the role, but turned it down. Which I think would be kind of dumb considering that she hasn’t exactly been in a bunch of blockbusters lately. Unless she really is looking to retire from acting… I thought when you said that it was a pipe dream that it means she have officially turned it down or something, lol. If she was never asked, I wonder where these wild rumors start… Bah whatever, leave me along, I mostly post things on this site while I’m half asleep at work on my typical overnight shifts.
