Carol Danvers is a character that Marvel fans have wanted to get involved with the Marvel Cinematic Universe for quite some time now. Thankfully, when Marvel Studios made its big Phase 3 announcement nearly two years ago, Captain Marvel was given an official spot in the lineup. Since that point, numerous actresses were rumored for the role before it was revealed that Brie Larson was the top contender for the role. She has since been officially confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con, ending any speculation as to who else could play the sought-after role.

With Larson attached to the role, fan art has given us possible ideas as to how she could look in the Captain Marvel costume. All of the previous art has kept Larson’s hair down, but now a new piece shows what she could look like with the Captain Marvel mohawk.

Photoshop artist BossLogic (who also created the aforementioned Carol Danvers artwork) recently released two new takes on Larson as Captain Marvel, this time mohawk included. This is a look that Carol has adapted from time to time in the world of Marvel Comics, including in the 2012 launch of her Captain Marvel comic run. If the powers that be at Marvel Studios decide to go this route, here is how Larson might look in the role:

Whatever style of hair Marvel Studios decides to use for Carol, Brie Larson should have no trouble pulling it off. Larson is fresh off an Oscar win for her performance in Room last year, so what style hair she has should not be point to question. What will ultimately matter is how she does in portraying the demeanor of Carol. After all, this is a character that comic fans have been dying to see onscreen for years now, and will ultimately have to wait a few more before actually seeing her in live-action form.

Larson is heavily rumored to make her debut as Captain Marvel in Avengers: Infinity War, so there is a chance that an official image of her in costume will arrive before 2016 comes to a close. Marvel could also release official concept art of Larson in the Captain Marvel suit, instead. Hopefully, an official picture of Larson in costume emerges first – not unofficial photos from the set of Infinity War, or something to that effect. Until then, the fan-made Captain Marvel artwork will have to tide everyone over.
