All i can say is wow! i wonder is it because i suggested that he should do this movie in a earlier blog that i had wrote? yes he does have a lot of work cut out for him indeed. i always thought whoever was behind the movie “300″ should be the ones working on it. the game series is so awesome it will be very hard for the movie to live up to the game experience. which is probably why “max payne” and “hitman” didn’t so well.

Played both games a nice ammount of times…
Would love to see these as a movie.
however, whoever the director is he better make a EPIC and i mean EPIC Movie…
X3 was Fun but you GOW needs to leave you with a LOTR after Feel…
ok my Verdict,
Director should be chosen by Jerry Brukhimer i believe he helms Epic Movies
as for Kratos Dominic Purcell or vin Diesel

God of War II was not called Chains of Olympus. That was the title for the PSP prequel. God of War II was just that: God of War II. It sounded badass enough without a subtitle.

And yeah, Brett Ratner is gonna F this one up. As to who my choice would be, it’s either Darren Aronofsky or Zack Snyder. They respect the source material and approach it with care.

I have no interests whatsoever for comic book characters, yet I was rather impressed with how well X1 performed as a standalone movie, and was merely satisfied with X2. X-Men 3 technically had potential, was executed so, so, poorly.

As Rob said, expect mediocrity.

I’m not a gamer but I always the ads for this game looked really cool . It could be a fun flick.

OK , all you anti-Ratners …. who would you prefer to direct?
and don’t say ” anyone !!! ” …that requires no effort or thought.
I want to know WHO you think would be better suited to direct.

Wow, not much love for Ratner around here .

The man makes movies that are like great big burgers : you can’t eat too many too often and they are occasionaly a mess but once in a while its good to just sink your teeth in & enjoy one.

and some people are vegetarians , who will never crave a good burger and thats ok too .

Everybody needs to STOP LYING. I’ve watched X3 upwards, downwards, and side to side. It’s not a bad movie. It actually is the 2nd best one in the trilogy after the phenomenal X2. Brett Ratner has butchered a lot of things, but X3 wasn’t one of them. STOP HATING ON THAT FILM JUST FOR HATE’S SAKE. Nuff said.

I can see him making this movie ranging from awful to medicore, nothing higher. X3 was beyond horrible and Rush Hour 3 was pretty darn bad too.

I have no faith in him to direct and no excitement until I see an impressive trailer

As long as they don’t BUTCHER the plot of GoW, like they did in all of the Xmen movies…then it’s fine. Otherwise, this man should never get work again.

It’s about time. I loved these 2 games and can’t wait ’til 3 comes out. And he definitely has his work cut out for him. There will be high expectations from fans of this game. And another X-men last stand type movie would not cut it.
