twilight breaking dawn part 2 trailer preview Breaking Dawn Part 2 Trailer Preview Teases The New Bella

The Twilight Saga reaches its (maybe) conclusion when Breaking Dawn – Part 2 arrives in theaters this fall. Now that Lionsgate and Summit are bedfellows, the latter will be using the premiere of the former’s fellow young adult literature blockbuster adaptation (The Hunger Games) later this week to unveil an official teaser trailer for the next chapter in the story of Bella Swan and her vampiric lover Edward Cullen.

Much like it did for the Breaking Dawn – Part 1 theatrical promos – and 20th Century Fox has (over)done with its Prometheus marketing – Summit has released a short preview clip for said trailer, teasing the dramatic events that take place in the second half of Breaking Dawn.

Those of you who are reading this article presumably either saw Breaking Dawn – Part 1 or don’t care about being spoiled for that film, so we’re not exactly giving anything away by mentioning that Part 2 will chronicle what happens after Bella (Kristen Stewart) has been transformed into a vampire by her dear Edward (Robert Pattinson). As it were, a “new and improved” Bella is exactly what this trailer preview hints at.

You can watch the Breaking Dawn – Part 2 trailer preview (fair warning: it’s short) below:

A lot of Twilight fans are excited to see vampire Bella brought to life on the big screen, so Breaking Dawn – Part 2 definitely has that working in its favor. However, the film also faces a dilemma similar to that which inflicted its immediate predecessor: there isn’t a whole lot of narrative ground for it to cover. As it were, the first half of Breaking Dawn arguably suffered from having to stretch too little story material to fit a two-hour running time (among other things – read our review for more on that).

It remains to be seen whether or not Breaking Dawn – Part 2 can manage to satisfy diehard Twilight fans and serve as a fitting conclusion to the film series, largely for that reason. As far as everyone else in concerned, though, the simple fact that this could be the final Twilight movie is reason enough for celebration.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 arrives in theaters around the U.S. on November 16th, 2012. Be sure to check back in the near future, for when the official teaser trailer drops.

  1. I’m interested to see how well this plays with general audiences. Twilight fans already know how it ends, but how will most people feel about a movie that…

…by my count should be nothing but a build up to a huge fight that doesn’t happen.

Should be a train wreck of groaning.

    • I don’t lke the series but I think that’s an atrocious ending. I know its how the author wrote it but its bad. Now they ate depending on the acting skills of krsiten stewart rob pattinson and taylor lautner to carry the end scene of the movie….. good luck

  2. glad this series is soon to be over. now all that money people were spending to see twilight can now be spent on quality films and films that deserve to make their moneys worth

    • nope, as long as these movies make a ton of money (teens watch movies too) then you will continue to see this type of movie being made. quality to some would be the money and fanbase it made. Twilight did both.

  3. One unfortunate consequence of the success of this series
is Hollywood will follow the money and invest in more
properties like this rather than higher quality films.

  4. Despite how much I hate the Twilight movies, I’m not stupid enought to think that this movie will be the last.

The studios have simply made too much money off of the series, and will continue to do so until they have absolutely milked it bone dry…Then they’ll do a limited time only, sequential re-release to theaters with 37 hours of never before seen director’s cut footage (and there will be much twihard rejoicing).

Then they’ll reissue them in a limited edition twihard blu-ray box set (and there will be MUCH twihard rejoicing).

Then, just when we REALLY think it’s over and done with, we’ll pull up good ole faithful Screen Rant one morning to check the goings-on in the movie world and much to our shock and horror we’ll see something to the effect of the following headline: “STUDIO PLANS TO REBOOT ENTIRE TWILIGHT SERIES WITH NEW CAST”…

So don’t fool yourselves…this is NOT over by a longshot…in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if George Lucas takes over the responsibility of reissueing every possible iteration of this crap into perpetuity…

    • Maybe we’ll get lucky and the world will come to an end right after part 2 ends. :-P

      • As it’s the last story bit of the book, it is. And indeed, probably for the better.

I still have to mention the books are way better, and can probably even beat the current hunger games.

          • Myer has long been planning more books. One book she was intending to write was the first book again, but this time from Edwards perspective instead of Bellas. That sort of obvious re-packaging would make even George Lucas blush. Its only a matter of time.

    • Yeah it was already said that the company who brought Summit is continuing the Twilight series and Meyers is currently writing another book!!

    • ROFL LMAO – quite possibly the funniest thing I’ve read online in weeks. The last time I cried this hard from laughing was some random hateful youtube comment. Good stuff, good stuff.

I do, by the way, agree with you completely.

  5. I’m sorry but the books were crap compared to the hunger games. No offense or anything. At least the hunger games trilogy had some action in it. The actual fight scenes in twilight cycle maybe covered 50 pages total. And don’t get me started on Meyer’s writing ability.

    • Whats sad about this is there are so many better fantasy novels out there. Instead of reading them both again I would suggest looking for something new to read (and possibly going back further than 10 years looking for an author)

      • I agree, I’ve noticed that a lot of the new authors giving a go at the fantasy genre tend to not succeed at having the same impact as older authors. I’m starting to get to the point where I’m almost avoiding new fantasy novels because they are just plain bad.

        • The Mortal Instruments series and The Infernal Devices Trilogy by Cassandra Clare is awesome. I recommend to girls and boys alike. For people who are looking for something that has depth, a slight romance factor(not like twilight), but also kicks a lot of ass in the fantasy section.

  6. the bad thing is that this won’t be the last twilight movie, the author is writing another ‘spin-off’ book

  7. yes i will spend money fore this movie and i will excited for the breaking dawn part 2 the best ever

    • I totally agree. Everybody says it’s a waste of

  8. It tortures me! I want to see it so bad!

  9. what ever if they make another twilight may be is different thats is 4 renesmee twilight exciting 2 how they can spin the the story can wait

  10. breaking dawn is the best

  11. Wow! In the books they alice gets there in time and saves them all, but in the movie they start to break out into a fight leaving you shocked as hell, carlisle is the first to die after getting his head tore off by aro, which tears you apart, then jasper, seth and leah all get killed, the film is completely destroying you, but in the end edward and bella put an end to Aro and just as they are burning him, you realise that Aro is still watching Alice’s vision, and none of it was real! Amazing!!

  12. Like some pictures twlight
