More images of blissful newlyweds Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) from this November’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 have been unveiled.
In addition, another pic has been released from next year’s The Hunger Games adaptation, revealing a pack of well-dressed teens as they wait to find out if they’ll be forced to face almost certain death in the titular competition.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1
As was discussed during the 2011 Comic-Con Twilight panel, in Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Bella and Edward don’t end up simply living happily ever after once they’re married and off to enjoy a luxurious honeymoon in Rio de Janeiro. Without getting into the uncomfortable details, one thing leads to another, Bella ends up pregnant, and it turns out there’s a good reason why humans and vampires ought to avoid having kids together.
There’s plenty of soapy romance and drama to go around before that macabre turn of events (see: the Breaking Dawn-Part 1 teaser for a taste of that) – which means lots of scenes in which Bella and Edward stare longingly into one another’s eyes, cuddle, play chess, spoon under waterfalls, and whatever else they feel like getting up to during their tropical getaway.
For more of that, and Bella’s discovery of her unnatural pregnancy, check out the new Breaking Dawn stills and EW cover image below:
The Hunger Games
We’ve gotten to see a handful of new images from Lionsgate’s currently-filming Hunger Games movie over the past couple of weeks, including an additional look at Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) dressed for battle and her (sorta) love interests, Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth).
The latest Hunger Games still offers a better look at Gale, looking all well-dressed and spruced up – and, more importantly, “The Reaping.”
For Hunger Games novices: “The Reaping” is an event where individuals from each of the twelve districts in Panem – the futuristic dystopian setting of the story – gather to find out who will be selected as “tributes” to the Hunger Games. In other words, it’s a deathly lottery similar to Shirley Jackson’s classic short story… “The Lottery”, where a male and female teen from each district is chosen to compete in the gladiatorial titular competition (a death sentence for all but one of them).

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 arrives in U.S. theaters on November 18th, 2011.
The Hunger Games hits theaters on March 23rd, 2012.
Which of these flicks sounds like more your flavor: the supernatural romance/horror that is Breaking Dawn? Or the grim futuristic adventure that is The Hunger Games?
