  1. That Controller short was beautiful.

  2. Jesse was on price is right? ha

  3. Controller was nicely shot, scored and edited (the one-take office fight reminded me of the hallway scene in Oldboy). However… maybe I’m being a plank and should be viewing it in a more abstract way, but let me get this straight: she makes her boyfriend commit multiple murder in order to rescue her from a building with no armed guards that she could have just walked out of at any time. Or not allowed herself to be taken to in the first place. If that isn’t the case then clearly she can’t control everything, and Saman Kesh can’t have his cake and eat it. Also, the censored faces were for whose benefit again?

    • Yeah, the story is more of an allegory and shouldn’t be be taken at face value too much. It’s more of an emotional short film than it is a logical one.

It reminded me a bit of Casshern.

      • It certainly works on an emotional level. I see what you mean about Casshern – there’s a dreamlike quality about that one that’s still grounded enough for the characters to come through.

  4. Superman toon was good!. although the other coffeebreaks shorts seemed funnier
