‘Breaking Bad’ Season 5 Photos: Heisenberg & Pinkman ‘Live Free or Die’

With the return of the Emmy Award winning series Breaking Bad set to premiere this summer, AMC is giving fans a sample of the upcoming final season. AMC has already released the ill-omened “All Hail The King” official season 5 poster – now the network has put out a set of new promo shots that certainly make it seem that ol’ Walter White (Bryan Cranston) has finally given his evil alter ego Heisenberg control of the wheel.

The new images feature Walter and his young partner Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) ominously peering through shattered meth-blue colored glass. Smells like symbolism to me – possibly a shattered relationship? Maybe so, if Jesse finds out about a certain secret Walter has been keeping.

Check out these three new promo pics from AMC taken by photographer Frank Ockenfels below (click for larger version):

If that wasn’t enough to satisfy your Breaking Bad season 5 craving – AMC is also giving us a taste of the forthcoming season by releasing six new images of the first episode titled ‘Live Free or Die.’ AMC is still very tight-lipped on what we can expect from the fifth and final season, especially the ultimate fate of Walter White.

Last season saw Walter ascending through the drug king ranks and now it looks like Walter’s biggest enemy may just turn out to be himself. AMC has announced that the fifth season will be split into two parts beginning July 15th of this year and concluding with the remaining eight episodes next summer.

Here are photos of the first episode of season 5 “Live Free or Die” (click for larger version):

Your guess is as good as mine as to what they are really doing in that junkyard – but it should be noted that Mike (Jonathan Banks) is looking a lot less dead than we thought he would be after getting shot up in Mexico. As the eerily calm Mike has always described killing as ‘business’ and nothing personal, he may be looking to offer his services to the new meth king.

Mikes working for Madrigal Electromotive. My guess is Walter and Jesse are going to be ‘asked’ by Madrigal to restart Gus’s meth business but under new management. The pictures show them scouting the new lab sight.

I am interested in why the guy (from Billy Madison) who helped them destroy the RV is there. Interesting. It does look like Mike isn’t going to shoot Walter like I expected him to either. We shall see! GAH! I am excited!

As much as I appreciate this website for all things entertainment, you are teasing us with Breaking Bad goodness. If you were a human being in front of me I would politely request with duct tape you remain quiet and let me wait in silence.

Why click on the link then? Because it’s Breaking Bad and I am powerless to resist :(

I should say, I’m guessing Jessie and Walt have somehow managed to hide the fact it was Walt who killed Gus. Which would add to the potential blowout for Walt (Jessie finding out who poisoned the kid, who let his girlfriend die, Mike finding out the truth about Gus etc).

More impatient now than my I was during my first comment.

Walt picked up the syringe and Mike cleaned up Jane’s mess. Mike took the syringe, and other incriminating drug stuff, with Walt’s finger prints on it in the 2nd Season Finale. I’m sure Jesse would like to know why Walt’s fingerprints are on the syringe that killed Jane. Mike has that over Walt whenever he feels like using it.

If I had to guess Mike looks like he’s working with Walt & Jesse.
    But really, who knows????
This is going to be EPIC!!!

Who else would Mike work for? I don’t think he cares about anything as long as he’s getting paid and not being put in awkward positions, like when Walt tried to recruit him to help him kill Gus. That didn’t turn out so well for Walt, but I don’t think Mike is left with much alternative at this point since Gus is dead. I just can’t wait for the first time Mike talks to Walt and Jesse and is like, “What the hell did you guys do?”

Looks to me like Walt, Jesse and Mike are scouting out a new lab location.
They are talking to the low life junk yard owner that crushed their meth lab camper so he probably will supply the location. Gus’s presence probably means their new silent parner is going to be Madrigal Electromotive.

Didn’t Gus get his face blown off? Pretty sure Gus is dead dude. I don’t think the junkyard is a good idea for a new cook spot, since Hank showed up there while Walt and Jesse were inside the RV. I think we can assume Hank has made the connection between Jesse and that junkyard and might assume he’d show up there again.

Madrigal Electromotive is yesterday’s news. Walt’s brother in law is already on to them and Walt has no use for them. Walt and Jesse know how to run the business and Mike has enough connections to provide the muscle, which is what Walt and Jesse were missing when they started off.

They have enough money to create their own lab without having to deal with Madrigal. The problem is that Madrigal is still in the business and Walt has just become their biggest competitor… and enemy.

That is a very likely plot line. If Walt decides to set up his own business with Jesse, Mike would be essential. He knows who and where Gus’s customers are. Of course Madrigal would probably not like them stealing their customers and will try to take over Walt’s new business. That would explain the title “Live free or die.”

Dam, looks like Mike will be back to cause more trouble for Walter, partner up or maybe work for him instead? can’t wait to find out , and DAMM it looks like Hank will regain his footing after all, you know he’s gonna be digging extra hard now…… will freaking Jessie finally mature a bit? I sure hope so , the eternal screw up act is getting a bit old, Will Skyler become a full blown ally or will she fall apart and take everybody down with her..
