I'm glad they are not rushing the script. That's the most important part. But just because they haven't seen much yet, doesn't mean it won't happen soon. If it comes out by 2011 end of the year would be fine with me.
  • I have to agree w/ you. I want a sequel, but I hope they don't rush it.
  • Rhaemye
Well, maybe they just have to open one of the BOOKS of Jason Bourne and find a good story there, 'cause the movies had little to do with the Ludlum novels.
  • I'm with Critic and Matt. I'd much rather wait for a great fourth Bourne film than see it rushed and turn out lousy. Even though the films strayed quite a bit from the novels, my big concern is that the movies seem to have run their arc with Jason Bourne. I'm not sure where they might go with him that would provide an entertaining action-thriller.

I'm sure they wont let us down, So I'll just sit here and try and wait for the 4th Bourne patiently, but I have a feeling I'm going to fail.

Oh my god, all the Bourne movies are the same. They don't have to think of a plot, just the action scenes. The last one was very disappointing. It was so disappointing, it made me realize I watched the original movie rehashed twice. I'm not watching the next one, I don't care.
  • Mighty Joe Young
Good for you man, judging from it's RT and IMDB score, the both the majority of critics and moviegoers liked it. But screw them, what do they know? You didn't like it so of course it must suck.
  • @samjung23,

I think you may be the first person I've ever come across who thought Ultimatum was anything less than great. I'd watch out for random attacking spears from movie fans the next time you go outside :P

The Bourne movies are way better than any Bond movie. The only bond movie that comes close to the Bourne series is Casino Royale. Bourne is definitely the best spy franchise right now.

Sounds like there looking for the investors,,,
ie:, "trying to get the story right"= Damon wants double the money...

I think as you most of you agree better to wait then make it a mess.
To me the Bourn franchise is one of best I’ ve ever seen spy action thriller that comes close to the greatest Ronin with Robert de Niro and Jean Reno.
If the Bourne franchise were made as an R rated it would it been the quantinsentional action thriller ever made.
That was a let down a bit with their PG-13 rating. I still consider great movies but it lack the violence compared to Ronin that was directed by john Frankenheimer who directed the French Connection II.
I hope they make it this time R rated and more realistic tone in it and put more longer car chases, like they had on the Supremacy and Identity, it was the best car chases if' ever seen on movies, especially Supremacy in the tunnel in the Russian Hi-way, marvels jaw dropping.
Some people complain because there was not mach of a drag to the max in the last one, the car chase was a smaller scene and was overdone in the car park, and everything was so rushed .they could have made it in a open street or freeways like we have seen in Supremacy, Identity and in Ronin.
I list the best car chase movies so far:
To Live and Die in LA
    French Connection
    The Hidden
    Bourne identity
    Bourne Supremacy
    Ronin
    The Transporter 1- 2 -3
    Italian Job
    Vanishing Point
    Built
Gone in 60 seconds – original and a bit in the new one
This time Mr Greengrass stick to the Supremacy direction and reconsider the oboe listed movies that were made, within your auto chase scenes.

The Bourne films are the standard for spy-action films, which Mission Impossible2 failed completely and couldn't rebound from for the third film(despite being good). Casino Royale was great and then Quantum of Solace screwed that up. I'm willing to wait for the best spy-dude on film.

Since we're waiting, how about Damon playing Captain America?

    I know it's off subject...sorry guys.

I bet the script has been done for months. Greengrass is notorious for running late, reshooting, changing his mind at the last second, being unprepared and over-budget which probably delayed on "Green Zone" now Matt's signed up for other projects including "Adjustment Buerau" from the guy who wrote Bourne 3 & 4. I bet Greengrass is holding it up.
