Bling Empire is one of the latest Netflix reality shows to blow up, and with good reason. With two seasons out now, Bling Empire follows a group of wealthy, young Asian and Asian American friends as they seek out fun, friendship, and family.

The cast was large and dynamic with many relatable characters and storylines to follow. While looking at individual cast members' social media feeds, it may be surprising to see who the most popular castmate is on Instagram, and how that compares to their persona on the popular Netflix series.

Updated on May 31st, 2022, by Lynn Gibbs: Now that season 2 of Bling Empire has been released on Netflix, fans got their fix of some incredible drama and wealth. The original cast from season 1 is back but there were a few new faces as well. Viewers flocked to the cast's Instagram accounts to see what their day-to-day lives look like, while also being impressed by the number of followers they have. From a couple thousand to millions, these cast members are as popular as their show.

Leah Qin (14,000+ Followers)

Leah Qin wasn't a main character in Bling Empire but she was essential to a major plotline. During the season, Leah sat down with Jaime Xie and told her an apparent secret of Cherie's.

According to Leah, Cherie and her fiance Jessey met each other when they were both with other people, had an affair, and then left their respective relationships for each other. The news blew many of the group members away. Leah didn't mean to stir the pot but she fit right in with the group for the drama it caused. On Instagram, Leah has the least amount of followers but she shares her style and time with friends in California.

Mimi Morris (44,000+ Followers)

Mimi Morris was another newcomer in season 2. She and her husband Don Morris made their living from the 28 companies that he owned. Viewers saw their vow renewal party that was covered with flowers and butterflies. They also saw Don present his wife with a Swarovski crystal toilet...

On Instagram, she has a little over 44 thousand followers but that's sure to go up after fans finish season 2 and prepare for season 3.

Andrew Gray (118,000+ Followers)

Despite Andrew Gray's independent career in Power Rangers outside of Bling Empire, it isn't too surprising that Andrew Gray comes in one of the last spots on this list.

As depicted in season 1, Andrew had a very divisive personality due to his toxic and overly intense former relationship with Kelly Mi Li. By the end of the season, even Kelly's dearest friends were put off by Andrew and Kelly's relationship so it makes sense that fans would be, too. Andrew didn't make an appearance in season 2 until the final episode's last minute.

Kelly Mi Li (369,000 Followers)

Fans rooted for Kelly Mi Li throughout season 1. She gave her all in her former relationship with Andrew Gray but when it didn't make her happy anymore, she left.

In season 2, Kelly assured everyone that she and Andrew were done for good and she was in a much better space mentally. Instead of dating around to get over Andrew, Kelly worked on her relationship with herself. Seeing her therapy sessions made her more vulnerable to viewers, making her one of Bling Empire's more likable characters.

Anna Shay (393,000 Followers)

Considering Anna Shay was often at the epicenter of Bling Empire, it's a little surprising she doesn't have a bigger Instagram following. However, Anna is older than the rest of the cast, and thus, not as tuned in to social media (as seen in season2). Thus, her account isn't as curated and "influencer" perfected as some of the younger, more Instagram popular cast members

Anna also doesn't show off her wealth on her Instagram account in the same way that many of her younger companions do, which may lose her some followers. Despite her lack of social media, Anna stole the show in Bling Empire with her vast wealth and one-liners.

Kevin Kreider (481,000 Followers)

Serving as sort of the audience surrogate for the show, Kevin Kreider was the outsider to the existing friend group in Los Angeles in season 1. While he worked as a model, he didn't have the same inherited wealth that most of the other cast members did. Thus, Kevin was often kind of sweet and dopey in his innocence regarding the lavish lifestyles his new friends led.

In season 2, Kevin's personal wealth increased and he was able to afford a bigger apartment in West Hollywood. Because of his honest nature, Kevin was one of the best Bling Empire characters. This same persona seems to be consistent on his Instagram, a sort of down-home but gorgeous guy that fans fell for.

Kane Lim (689,000 Followers)

One of Kevin's first friends, Kane Lim, was similarly positioned as a sort of central figure in the Bling Empire friend group, someone who was friends with everyone, and an overall mellow and easygoing character.

Also like Kevin, Kane's persona seems to be consistent on his Instagram to how he appeared in the series, showing off his jewelry, shoe collection, and plenty of gorgeous Los Angeles landscapes. In season 2, Kane talked more about his spiritual side and zodiac sign, but that didn't make fans like him after the way he treated Kevin and Christine at the end of season 2...

Jaime Xie (659,000 Followers)

One of Bling Empire's many ensemble cast of characters, Jamie Xie never got her own story arc in season 1 but that changed in season 2. She became a central character after showing off her sense of style, family wealth, and dating life.

All are apparent on her Instagram with plenty of designer labels and her modeling presence at the forefront. However, Jaime's youth is also apparent in the specific and curated look of her Instagram, which may explain her growing numbers.

Christine Chiu (780,000 Followers)

Positioned as a younger rival to Anna Shay, Christine Chiu's popularity is unsurprising. Alongside her husband, Dr. Gabriel Chiu, she runs one of the many plastic surgery empires in Los Angeles and has one of the highest net worths on Bling Empire.

While never an outright mean girl, Christine made her mark with fabulous fashion, parties, and sparkling wit. Their sweet family, and also some of their more personal discussions about growing a family, were also heavily featured in the show and on her Instagram, making her a relatable figure with an unattainable lifestyle, a winning combination for any celebrity or public figure.

Cherie Chan (1 Million Followers)

Cherie Chan had one of the saddest moments of Bling Empire's first season. Following the death of her mother, Cherie struggled to cope with her grief, especially feeling her mother's absence after the birth of her second child.

Cherie came across as a genuinely sweet person who longed for closure and certainty, especially in her relationship with her partner, Jessey. In season 2, Cherie's time on the show was cut short after drama involving her and her husband's affair took over the series. As an icon in her own right, it makes sense why she has over one million followers.

Kim Lee (1 Million Followers)

Only a few of the cast members were bonafide celebrities before their appearances on Bling Empire. Kim Lee is one of them. A massive DJ in her own right, Kim got off to a rocky start in season 1 after offending Anna in her home.

In season 2, she and Anna were on a good page but it was her potential relationship with Kevin that took over the season. As good of a match as the two were, Kim wasn't ready for a serious relationship with Kevin. There are no traces of a possible relationship between the two on Instagram but she does share a lot of DJing content.

Dorothy Wang (1 Million Followers)

Dorothy Wang is one of the new faces for season 2 of Bling Empire. As the daughter of a billionaire and a celebrity herself, Wang doesn't need help getting followers on Instagram. She's her own brand and is famous for another show like Bling Empire that she was on a few years back called Rich Kids of Beverly Hills.

On Instagram, Wang shows off her fabulous life, sense of style, and new experiences in her new home away from home in New York City.

Guy Tang (2.2 Million Followers)

Far and away, the most popular cast member in season 1 was Guy Tang, perhaps best known within the short series for his unfortunate escapade with Kim at Anna's house. Beyond and prior to his appearance on Bling Empire, Guy had a huge, established following as a hairdresser and musician.

With his own line of hair care products made specifically for hairdressers and a popular youtube channel to boot, on top of his fun and unique personality, there's no question as to why Guy comes in at number one on the rankings.
