Marvel's open house is continuing to yield positive results for fans of the MCU, with Black Panther the latest film teased for journalists. Earlier today, the studio offered some concept art showing off the characters and costumes of Ant-Man & the Wasp. That was followed by a description of Captain Marvel's costume, teasing her debut in the MCU. Now, we have word of a variety of footage that was shown for Black Panther ahead of the film's release next year. With filming wrapping soon, it's likely there will be some photos or a teaser soon. In the meantime, a new description of a sizzle reel that sounds very exciting.

Throughout the footage, a blend of tribal and technological is highlighted as Marvel attempts to bring Wakanda to life. All reports seem to indicate that everything from the costumes to the sets look exquisite. The footage also showed Angela Basset as T'Challa's mother Ramonda, as well as Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira as the Dora Milaje. The latter two feature prominently throughout the footage, fighting to protect T'Challa and showing why their characters Nakia and Okoye are such formidable warriors.

As reported by MCU Exchangethe footage also offered shots of Forrest Whitaker as T'Challa's uncle Zuri and a scene involving Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis. They'll be reprising their roles as Everett Ross and Ulysses Klaue, respectively. Ross will be assisting T'Challa and the Dora Milaje, while Klaue will serve his typical villainous role from the comics. After losing his arm in Age of Ultron, he's even gained a cybernetic appendage similar to in the comics. There's also an interaction that takes place between the two in a casino that was shown in the footage:

"Ross: “Well, you brought quite the entourage, do you have a mixtape coming out?

Klaue: “Oh yeah, I’ll actually send you a link.”

There was also shots of T'Challa being coronated as the new ruler of Wakanda, and some quick interviews with the cast and crew. Director Ryan Coogler spoke briefly about the film, confirming that T'Challa's keen intellect will be on display in the MCU.

“I’m super excited about an African king who is also strong enough, fast enough, smart enough to do some of the things that T’Challa is going to do in this film.”

Michael B. Jordan, who plays the villainous Killmonger, also spoke about the movie, revealing the audiences are in for something special.

“The story is just going to be very honest and gritty. I think it’s a lot of the right ingredients that we have to make something really special.”

With the news now out in the press, expect something official for the film to be released soon. If nothing else, Marvel's recent confirmation that they'll be at San Diego Comic-Con this year likely means we'll get a teaser for Black Panther and will probably see some of this footage for ourselves.
