Marvel's 2018 slate will begin with Black Panther and as filming begins coming to a close, Danai Gurira wraps on the project. Gurira is one of the many members of arguably Marvel's most talented cast to date, and will be playing one of the lead members of the Dora Milaje. The all-female group of warriors set to protect and serve the king have only been teased so far, but with T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) inheriting the throne to Wakanda, the guard could be in store for some changes and new challenges.

The plot of Black Panther has largely been kept under wraps outside of what fellow Dora Milaje Lupita Nyong'o revealed previously. While subsequent set videos have teased their inclusion in a large car chase, there has yet to be a clear look at Gurira and her freshly shaved head, and now there won't be anymore opportunities.

Gurira took to Twitter to post a photo of her with a number of crew members, as well as Nyong'o and fellow cast members Daniel Kaluuya and Letitia Wright, that revealed she has wrapped filming on Black Panther. While the photo does not provide any further information on her character or the plot, it does indicate that filming is coming to a close.

Just wrapped @theblackpanther yesterday. Love these wonderful people I got to share this journey with. #Wakandaforever! pic.twitter.com/VbG6trUXYj— Danai Gurira (@DanaiGurira) April 14, 2017

Gurira is set to play Okoye, the leader of the Dora Milaje, in the movie, so it is only fitting that she is featured alongside Nyong'o in her goodbye photo. Since the movie has been in production since late January, it could only have a few more weeks left of filming at the most before the entire production wraps. While this was likely a physically challenging role that required long days for the actress, she will be leaving what appears to be a rather fun and upbeat set.

They have recently been partaking in having fun with Kaluuya and his breakout role in Get Out by having a mixture of the cast and crew participate in the Get Out Challenge, much to the terror of the film's star. Outside of that, Boseman recently shared a video of what he experiences everyday on set: live music accompanied by the talents of co-star Martin Freeman.

With the current Walking Dead star now off the set, it is unknown who else has wrapped as well. Based on the rest of the behind-the-scenes looks at the set antics, Boseman, Wright, Kaluuya, Nyong'o, and Freeman are likely still filming. It is probable that other actors have wrapped previously due to scheduling or size of their role, so it may not be too long before other actors share they've wrapped as well.
