He did well in movies like Trading Places, 48 Hours and BHC because they were great stories. I blame his agents in pushing him towards the kids stuff, and also on Hollywood for making crappy kids movies instead of films that grownups can enjoy and with great stories. I could honestly write an entire series and rename it "Detroit Cop" and place his character in Detroit, maybe for the first one invite tagger and rosewood as visitors to see how cops do things in Detroit. The problem my friends is not Murphy, but Hollywood. It is absent of ideas and stories and that is why it fails more then it wins. They forgot to entertain us with the best. Instead they have become fast buck artists looking to make a quick buck and have forgotten the art of telling real, and great stories. I am a published author and can tell you this is the very case, so we all lose and they lose too. Maybe BHC4 will be better than 3 was...good luck Eddie and co.
