In Hogwarts Legacy, players will return to Hogwarts after beating the main story in hopes of completing their fifth year. The good news is that there are still plenty of things to do after beating the game, and players will have to complete a fair number of them to get its final ending.

Hogwarts Legacy's massive open-world map is filled with Magical Beasts, field guide pages, and other secrets to discover. To see the full extent of the game, players can take the O.W.L. exams, reach level 40, or complete all the challenges. Players have plenty to do if they wish to get every trophy/achievement or explore every nook and corner of Hogwarts.

10 Complete Weasley’s Watchful Eye Main Quest

Professor Weasley and the Player in Hogwarts Legacy

This Quest will unlock after the player completes the main story of Hogwarts Legacy. Professor Weasley will review the player’s progress, comment on their achievements, and recommend what they still need to do before the O.W.L. exams come up. This will instruct the player to finish their field guide. Upon talking to Professor Weasley, the quest will be over. However, the final and last quest will not unlock until players reach level 34.

9 Complete The Field Guide

The Field Guide is given to the player at the beginning of the game, but chances are the player has not found every field guide in Hogwarts Legacy by the time they are trying to finish their fifth year. It is a large number of field pages to find, which requires some time, but it is very satisfying to find the last few pages. Luckily, there are maps of where to find each page if the player misses a couple. It is also worth noting that often the locations of some of these pages on the World Map will appear if the player has traveled near them, on Broom or foot.

8 Complete The House Cup Main Quest

Once players can complete Professor Weasley’s requests, reach level 34, and have completed their Field Guide, players will be able to finish the last main quest in the game, which is winning the House Cup. This quest will also unlock the final ending of Hogwarts Legacy. Players who wish to know which Hogwarts House wins for the year will have to attend this ceremony to find out. This quest is easy to finish, but it may take players who sped through the main story longer to unlock.

7 Reach Level 40

Reaching Level 40 will mean that the player has reached the final level of the main game. As of now, this is the Level cap for the player. This will ensure that their Talent points are spent and that they have finished rounding out their build. This will also allow them to equip the best gear available. Of note, no more talent points are given out after this level, so players should pick their last talent wisely.

6 Complete Every Side Quest

There are many side quests in the game. While some of them are missable due to various unique quests for each House, including learning Dark Arts spells from Sebastian in Hogwarts Legacy, most of them will become available in the post-story game. So after finishing the main story, players can fly around the map completing side quests to help their friends and neighbors throughout Hogwarts and the surrounding regions.

5 Complete The Vivarium

The Vivarium is a part of the Room of Requirement. Players will have to unlock the Vivarium in the Main Quest, The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom, which is when they will unlock the ability to capture Magical Beasts. There are 13 Beasts that players can capture, and by completing all of the necessary quests, players can have up to 4 Vivariums in the Room of Requirement. This is enough space for at least one group of each species, so players can complete their Vivariums in the post-game. This means more time to interact and play with each Beast in Hogwarts Legacy.

4 Complete Challenges

Completing Challenges in Hogwarts Legacy

There are five challenges in Hogwarts Legacy: Combat, Quests, Exploration, Field Guide Pages, and Room of Requirement. Each one will require players to do enough of each to unlock rewards within those categories. By nature, once the last main Quest is finished, one of the trees within “Quests” will be finished. However, some of these categories are much more involved. Combat, for instance, requires players to defeat a certain number of each time of enemy and a certain number of dueling feats. Exploration, likewise, requires players to find and complete a certain number of collectibles.

3 Complete The Collection

Completing all Merlin's Trials

Having completed the Challenges, players might wonder why certain collectibles are still visible on their maps. The main reason for that is that the Challenge requirements for each collectible are not the same as the number of those existing items. For instance, while only 52 Merlin Trials in Hogwarts Legacy are needed to complete the Challenge requirements, there are 95 Merlin Trials in total. Therefore, players will likely be able to spend a lot of time finding every one of Hogwart's Secrets in the post-game.

2 Get Every Achievement/Trophy

This will require some extra time on the player’s part. In addition, getting every Achievement is only possible if the player starts a new game for each House. This is because there is a unique achievement for finding the map chamber in each House, and certain quests can only be completed if the player takes certain steps. However, if players have completed every other quest, they need only play up a new game of Hogwarts Legacy until the unique quests are unlocked and finished to complete the side quest achievements.

1 Maximize Gear

As players reach level 40, they will also have fully leveled-up gear. This means investing in the best gear in Hogwarts Legacy is now more relevant since the player cannot level up anymore. Pick the best gear for each slot and fully upgrade it to have the best stats possible. This can make finishing the rest of the items on this list easier, as players will be stronger than the enemies they face.
