Benedict Cumberbatch teases what fans can expect from Avengers: Infinity War. Marking its 10th anniversary of the MCU, Marvel Studios is set to release the most ambitious venture yet in the upcoming ensemble flick. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, fans are already buzzing with anticipation for the film as it will bring together almost all Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes in a single project in order to combat the mad Titan Thanos and the Black Order.

Being one of the newest heroes in the MCU, of course, Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange will make an appearance in the film. Debuting just last year in his own standalone movie, the new Sorcerer Supreme is already one of the pivotal characters in the Infinity War movie as he possesses the Time Gem -- one of the six Infinity Stones that Thanos endeavors to collect. As one of the holders of one of the powerful artifacts, this also makes Strange very susceptible to danger as the supervillain and his cohort would obviously go for him (or Paul Bettany's Vision who has the Mind Stone in his forehead).

Speaking to a handful of press, including Digital Spy, while promoting his upcoming drama The Child In Time (which is the first venture from his new production company, SunnyMarch), the actor was also asked what he can say about the much-anticipated movie:

Infinity War

"It's ten years coming. It's just a huge, huge, huge amount of work, huge amount of storylines and it's all sort of pointing to this confrontation....It's amazing to part of it even though I'm late to the party, it's very cool one to be part of it."

Understandably, the actor could not reveal anything specific about the movie. It is no secret that Marvel Studios went to great lengths to make sure that they prevent any possible leaks that even the cast did not receive full scripts. That said, it is still great to know that the people involved in the production are every bit as excited as the fans.

At this point, aside from the gist of the storyline, we really do not have any idea as to what Marvel is up to with regard to Avengers: Infinity War. Online speculation has been rampant from those piecing together details to make a plausible scenario in the movie, including a possible time-travel sequence with the help of Strange's Time Stone. One thing is for sure, though, stakes are definitely at their peak, with some of the lives of our favorite heroes on the line.
