I definitely see the connection between the two plots, although in A History of Violence a big question was whether or not Viggo was actually who they thought he was, whereas this movie just comes out and tells you so.

I’m almost surprised, if their intentions were to copy the story, they just didn’t re-make it! It’s been out for a few years, about time to re-do it, right?

Anyhow, as much as DiCaprio has been proving himself as no longer being Titanic Jack, I couldn’t see him as an Ex-Mafia hitman.. It just seems silly while looking at his picture. Then again, I guess that would be a good thing for a hitman.
