I so want to see Moon, but since I don’t live in LA or New York, I’ll have to wait for the dvd.

That’s the worst part about all these stupid board game movies. They’ll get a wide release, while the quality stuff goes completely unnoticed.

I think the only way any of these board game movies could work is if they’re comedies. Make the movies tongue-in-cheek. They should know they’re based on a kids game and should definitely NOT try to be an “epic naval action adventure.” Clue, for instance, while not terribly funny, had the right idea in not trying to make a deep murder mystery out of a board game.

Hollywood has been nothing but a productless name brand for some time now… only a hand full of films that came out last year were even worth watching. They’re now just out to exploit our already thinned wallets with garbage that we have become accustomed to accept. Hollywood needs an overhaul, and now is the best time if ever.

That said I can’t wait for Moon, District 9 and Up… still haven’t seen Star Trek but will be soon enough.

What’s next. Operation and making it an ER type movie? Or is Candyland going to be a Willy Wonka esque movie? Why create movies based off of board games? It doesn’t make sense, only sounds silly and people will not like it.

Paul, the game Old Maid, I can see that being a sex-crazed-coming-of-age comedy/art film about prostitutes being pimped out by a Mistress named The Old Maid. Starring Susan Sarrandon as the Old Maid, with Meagan Fox, Paris Hilton and Fergie as the prostitutes living in a world that shuns them but they have the desire to strive on and become a woman!
Lastly with Channing Tatum as the male lead who gives Meagan Fox’s character the ambition to become more than a street level prostitute pimped out by The Old Maid!
Directed by Gavin Hood.

Seriously, is this a joke? Some crazy rumor on the internet cause that has happened before.

But, why not make a movie about two battleships going at each other rather than basing it off this game. Then again, they made a highly successful film based on a theme park ride, and no, not the Haunted Mansion.
Oh, Ross, Berg did not direct Smokin’ Aces my friend.

I can see a Magic: The Gathering film, that can easily be done on screen. This…is someone going to say “you sunk my battleship!!!!”

here’s a Battleship movie i’m waiting to see “U.S.S. Indianapolis”. They should come out with a big budget movie about that Battleship and the fate of her crew after it was torpedoed… You all remember that tale from Jaws…
