Last week was a big one for Batman vs. Superman news. The Man of Steel sequel is well into filming and on the heels of the confirmation that director Zack Snyder is indeed helming Justice League, Snyder teased an impending look at the new Batmobile. The next day, fans were treated to our first look at Ben Affleck in his new Batman costume standing next to his ride.

With Warner Bros. finally getting their own shared DC movie universe off the ground, it's clear by now that the studio is developing their multi-picture franchise in a different way than Marvel. Rather than rolling out a series of solo films to introduce the key characters before uniting them in a Superhero All-Star Jam, Batman vs. Superman will not only pair Superman (Henry Cavill) with Affleck's Batman, but also Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and possibly undisclosed roles for Dwayne Johnson and Jason Momoa.

Now that filming is underway in Michigan - and with Affleck's new Batsuit fresh in our minds - fans know to expect on-set images of the film's stars. We've seen plenty of the same from the various international locations for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but similar photos from Batman vs. Superman have been virtually nonexistent.

Now, however, we have our first look at our new Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, on location in Birmingham, Michegan, courtesy of Instagram user armendarakjian. Check out the image below (for additional, but similar, images, go here).

It's clearly just set photo snapped by a bystander, and there's not much in the way of details or clues about what she might have been filming. It's tempting to say that the form-fitting blue garment and what might be a red boot visible in this picture form the basis of Wonder Woman's new costume, but these are clearly street clothes. This certainly seems like an outfit selected by a costume designer, so it could be civilian garb.

If so, will Gadot's Wonder Woman have a civilian alter ego? Throughout the first decades of the character's life, Princess Diana of Themyscira also had a secret identity and went by the name of Diana Prince. In the wake of DC's New 52 reboot, however, this has been discontinued, and it's unlikely she has one Batman vs. Superman.

Since plot details are firmly under wraps at this point, it's anyone's guess as to just how Wonder Woman is introduced into the established Man of Steel universe. It's more than likely that Diana does not actually don the mantle of Wonder Woman until late in the game, so just how involved in the overall plot is she? We'll know more when some story details surface.
