The superhero showdown Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice released earlier this year to mixed receptions from fans and critics but a solid (though perhaps not overwhelming) box office take. Regardless of your opinion of the film, at a budget of $250M, it would be hard to argue that it was lacking in spectacle. With Zack Snyder's signature visual style turned to 11, the film followed up its fight between the titular heroes with an earth shattering four-way battle between test-tube villain, Doomsday, and the formative Justice League members.

Of these members, Gal Gadot's representation of Wonder Woman was one of the least divisive aspects of the film. Despite early complaints from some fans about her slim supermodel frame, she nonetheless cast an intimidating and definitively superheroic presence in the film's final fight. Some of this was a result of an intense superhero workout regime, but a lot of it came down to an intensely aggressive poise.

Gadot recently shared a "Making Of" image via Twitter from her square down with Doomsday in Batman V Superman's climactic battle. Common for scenes of this scale, there's a lot of green screen and mo-cap action at play. The monster and scenery may be computer generated, but the fierceness is all Gadot.

The image encapsulates why Gadot made such an enduring impression in the film. Able to go from "coy" to the above in zero seconds flat, she's not a woman you would want to mess with. Ultimately, the biggest complaint about her role in Batman V Superman was that there wasn't enough of it. But if the Comic-Con trailer for her upcoming solo film is any indication, (not to mention her role in Justice League), it looks like we'll have no shortage of fierce Gadot in the near future.
