In just a few months time, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment will begin to grow their blossoming DC Expanded Universe when Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice finally hits theaters. The studio has already been heavily promoting the project, releasing two trailers to set up the conflict that emerges between Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Kal-El (Henry Cavill) in the aftermath of the destructive Battle of Metropolis in 2013's Man of Steel.

Whenever a film this anticipated is on the horizon, fans aren't just awaiting the final product; they are always looking forward to glimpses of new footage that tease potential plot details to speculate over. A couple of weeks ago, Dawn of Justice producer Charles Roven stated that fans would get another look at the film "before the end of the year." Now, we know how soon that'll be.

In an amusing video posted on the official Gotham YouTube page (where cast members weigh in on the great "Batman or Superman?" debate), it's revealed that a Batman V Superman preview will air during the Gotham midseason finale airing on November 30. It'll mark the first time since San Diego Comic-Con that new footage from the film will debut, so many will be watching the next Gotham episode with great interest. Unfortunately, the length of the sneak peek is unknown, making it difficult to guess what will be shown.

The dream is that WB uses the television event to unveil a new full-length trailer, similar to what Disney did with Star Wars: The Force Awakens in October. However, a more plausible scenario is an extended TV spot that teases some story elements fans have not seen before. Not only would that fit into one of Gotham's regular commercial breaks, there's no rush for WB to unleash the last wave of marketing just yet (especially with Star Wars 7 just weeks away).

Given that the sneak peek is part of a Gotham telecast, it would be nice to see something that focuses on the DCEU's version of Gotham City and Batman, learning the histories behind both to establish their places in the movie. Another possibility is highlighting Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor, who according to the latest synopsis is manipulating the two title heroes to advance his nefarious agenda. Much of the marketing so far has (justifiably) featured Batman and Superman, but sooner or later WB will have to highlight some of the key supporting characters.

Ever since Batman V Superman was first announced, some have criticized WB for rushing to "catch up" to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by crowding its cast with multiple superheroes. The onus will be on the studio to illustrate that they've crafted a natural progression of the Man of Steel story that sets a strong foundation for the DCEU moving forward. The latest trailer was seen as a step in the right direction, so hopefully this new sneak peek continues to raise the excitement levels.
