I’m sure Goyer will be a part of fashioning the story for the next Bat-flick, provided Nolan directs.

Absolutely, positively, can’t wait for Supermax, Goyer’s proposed Green Arrow film. It’d be a fantastic way to introduce the character while avoiding yet another origin, not to mention the awesomeness factor of including a ton of DC Comics villains.

Get on it, WB, and greenlight it!

Actually, “Memoirs of an Invisible Man”, the so-called “crap Chevy Chase flick”, is pretty good.

His director is John Carpenter (I guess you know him, one of the greatest american horror movies directors of the last thirty years), and it’s miles ahead of every other Chase picture. I love Carpenter, although I think that he hasn’t made a “perfect” movie in his entire career.

Memoirs… isn’t exactly a comedy, it’s more of a neo-noir, with a solid script and beautiful cinematography.

Solid script? Oh, I think that’s something Goyer should try to write.

In my opinion, the person who wrote this article hasn’t seen Memoirs… at all, and prejudges the movie just because there’s Chase in it. Perhaps has never seen a Carpenter movie. And that’s a pity.

Hey now, let’s not hate on Chevy Chase. He’s made some damn funny movies that are classics: Vacation, Christmas Vacation, Vegas Vacation and Fletch are all great comedies that make you laugh without being vulgar.

I don’t know who did the research for this article, but David Goyer was involved in developing the story for TDK, but he didn’t write it… Jonathan Nolan wrote it in collaboration with his brother and TDK director Chris Nolan.

Goyer is definitely one of the people who is at the center of constructing the Nolanverse Batman story-arc and I don’t mean to diminish his awesome work on Batman Begins. But just cause he’s not available to write anytime soon, doesn’t mean the next Batman film isn’t gonna get written faster than this article makes it seem. It’s more about Christopher and Jonathan Nolan’s time now… not Goyer’s.

Well yeah I agree its way to soon for a sequel as far as the studio goes. There gonna milk TDK till it drops, and lets not forget the dvd sales on TDK are gonna just burn down the stores.

But,,, you know Nolan prob allready has the sequel planned out in his head. Im sure of it.

Yeah, my fingernails are going to be non-existent 790, but I think it’ll be a mistake if he starts 3 right now. Even though there was more time between Spider-Man 2 and 3 than there was between 1 and 2, it felt like the pressure was on and they’d rushed blindly into it, y’know?

There were a couple of sequels to that as well, the first with Vincent Price. Plus The Invisible Boy with Robbie the inexplicably-included Robot. I’m all for Goyer tackling something else to give him time to recharge his BATteries, and let the foaming and thrashing subside.

“A wonderful Chevy Chase flick” would have been an oxymoron, surely?

What about the original Invisible Man movie, the old black and white one? That’s pretty good.

Goyer seems a very good writer, but not sure about the writing AND directing idea. He did that with Blade 3 and eek!

The X-Men films were so good until 3, and then it just hit the wall,,,

Personally could give a poop about Magneto, or the X-kids First Class,,,

Its looking like its gonna be years before we see the next Batman adventure.

x-man origins: magneto for the win!

Although I dunno how this will turn out…Fox studios right? As I said before in some other thread, that means random inappropriate-but-popular characters will be included and the film won’t really match the comics…at all, lol.

In any case, it should be tons of fun (I hope), I’m more curious of what kinda cast this would have…and if it would tie into the X-men first class flick, who would that cast be?

I’d love to see James Marsden back as leader…and actually be portrayed as leader, ever since the X-films he’s been on fire with tons of roles.
