New set photos from the filming of The Batman suggest Wonder Woman exists in the universe starring Robert Pattinson as the titular hero. Production of Warner Bros.' latest movie about the Caped Crusader is fully underway, and as filming gets further in, more details about The Batman's story are slowly beginning to emerge through set photos. They've begun to reveal interesting details about what this new franchise might contain. From everything director Matt Reeves has talked about in past interviews, the reboot will be a noir-grounded take on DC's iconic detective. While it does take place outside of the DC Extended Universe's main continuity, it doesn't necessarily mean The Batman won't have the existence of other heroes.

Recently, The Batman set photos revealed that in one way or another, Superman exists within this world. An extra was recently spotted dressed up as the Man of Steel, leaving many to wonder what this could mean. The biggest theory currently is that this Gotham citizen is attending a Halloween party, which would make perfect sense. But whether the Last Son of Krypton is another superhero who exists in Metropolis or if he's a comic book figure, remains to be seen. As filming continues, it appears another DC hero has been revealed to be established in the Pattinson realm.

A new set photo, through Bat_Source on Twitter, has hinted that in one way or another, Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman exists in The Batman world. An extra was spotted dressed up as Wonder Woman while standing next to the same person who was seen sporting the Superman costume. It still hasn't been confirmed if this truly is for a Halloween party that is happening in the film. However, it's starting to look more and more like that, as it's hard to imagine why else extras would be dressed up as superheroes.

It wouldn't be a surprise if more extras were revealed to be dressed up as other DC characters like The Flash, Aquaman, or Green Lantern. Despite being more grounded than some of the DCEU films, it definitely seems like there is a larger DC Universe going on in this upcoming reboot. The biggest question, though, is whether Pattinson's Batman is the only superhero in this world or if he is just one of many. With filming still underway, perhaps other DC heroes will be revealed soon enough.

Despite production still rolling on, it'll be a long wait before fans get their answers about these two new DC mysteries in The Batman. Due to the global pandemic, Warner Bros. recently shifted the release dates once more, and the Pattinson-starring film is now slated for 2022. It's very exciting that, in some capacity, there is more DC presence in the upcoming film, especially compared to a project like the self-contained The Dark Knight trilogy. Based on these photos from the set, The Batman will at least include subtle references to other DC characters, including Wonder Woman.
