Should Two-Face & The Joker Return In Batman 3?

Aug 27, 2009 by

The pros and cons of bringing these two back – and what are the alternatives.

Batman 3 Joker and Two-Face

We here at Screen Rant recently asked the question, “What Will Batman 3 Be About?” The third installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise is easily one of the most anticipated sequels ever – as evidenced by the HUGE outpouring of reader reaction our article is STILL receiving.

Out of the 350+ comments left by you Batman fans, two clear points of debate raged longest and hardest throughout the thread of discussion. After seeing the sparks of that debate, we thought it only fitting that we should fan it into a brush fire. So, without further ado I now ask:

Should Two-Face and The Joker be brought back for Batman 3?

THE NEW IMPORTANCE OF THE VILLAIN

One of the things I really appreciated about Batman Begins and The Dark Knight was that it was clear with both films that scribes Chris and John Nolan and David S. Goyer all truly understood the character of Batman and the universe that he inhabited. More than that, the writers also had a keen eye for what made all of Batman’s supporting characters and (most importantly) the villains in his rogues gallery tick. If I have one criticism of Burton’s Batman films, it’s that the villains were mainly evil foils for Batman, there more for (wonderful) theatrics rather than any sort of pointed reason.

In Nolan’s films, the villains (for the most part) have carried much more dramatic weight. Certainly that’s true for The Dark Knight: The Joker wasn’t just there for show of a trademark smile (cough, cough), he added actual thematic meaning to the story, as did Harvey/Two-Face. And for that matter, so did Ra’s al Ghul in Batman Begins (Bruce Wayne twisted by anger).

There has been some debate about whether Batman 3 should position itself as a direct sequel to The Dark Knight, or perhaps as more of a standalone story, set long after TDK. In either case, if Nolan is at the helm you know that whatever villain(s) go into the script will only be in there if they add weight and meaning to the story. And while it would be a novel kick to see a few new villains rolled out for a flashy sequel, if Batman 3 is to be set directly after Dark Knight then there is still a lot of narrative weight still hanging on both The Joker and Harvey/Two-Face.

So do you bring them back?

.

TWO-FACE

Batman 3 Harvey Dent Two Face

Ok, so fans have said it; Nolan has said it; and even Dark Knight star Aaron Eckhart (eventually) said it:

Harvey Dent dies at the end of The Dark Knight. End of story.

However, as many of our readers have pointed out, that “death” marks the end of Harvey Dent’s story. Two-Face has a story all his (their?) own to tell.

I’m going to be honest: I’ve already argued that Batman 3 should bring back Two-Face, so I’m not going to pretend here that I’m not already in favor of that option. TDK did a great job exploring Harvey Dent, what he meant to Gotham and what it meant when he “fell from grace.” Nonetheless, I feel like there is still so much to explore in the character of TWO-FACE, and who that character becomes after the last remnants of Harvey Dent are (seemingly) gone.

Seeing Harvey fully transformed into Two-Face would add the kind of weight and hopelessness which (I think we all believe) is going to be a necessary starting point for Batman’s character in the next film. Picture it: The Caped Crusader is low. He’s hunted. He’s alone. He’s sacrificed much. Lost so much. He’s trying hard to maintain but there is Two-Face, always staring back as a testament to his failure, as morally complicated and conflicted as Batman himself.

Suddenly this character doesn’t sound as creatively exhausted as people are claiming, does he?

Another point of convergence in a lot of our reader comments was that any Dark Knight sequel should involve a flat-out war for control of Gotham City. Of those who held such an opinion, a large percentage also thought that B3 should be titled Gotham City for that very reason. If that is the direction the film goes in, then absolutely Two-Face would be an important cornerstone of the story. After all, as a D.A. Harvey Dent knew the entire inner workings of Gotham city’s businesses, political network, banking network, legal system, prison system, etc… If there was some kind of epic showdown for Gotham, then Two-Face would be one of the most crucial pieces on the chessboard.

Batman 3 Black Mask

Black Mask in Batman 3? (Click image for source)

Of course a lot of people have said that B3 should feature the criminal mastermind Black Mask (above), a classic Bat-villain who has recently enjoyed something of a resurgence in the comic books. But I have to ask: why drag us all through yet another villain origin story, just to maneuver said villain into a position (a crime boss connected all over Gotham) that you could fill with a villain the audience already knows and (for the most part) loves? Putting Two-Face into play frees the story up to introduce whatever secondary villains it wants, without having to exhaust a lot of time getting into their origins.

For example: Two-Face could approach Black Mask, The Penguin or whoever, deliver a few expository lines of dialogue to fill us in on who the villain is, and how he/she fits into the scheme of Gotham (based on his knowledge as a D.A.), and bada-bing, bada-boom, we’ve got a new player in the game, no time wasted.

So where’s the down-side of bringing Two-Face back? “Because it’s boring?” “Because it’s beating a dead horse?”

Batman 3 Two Face

IMHO, if you truly understand why the character has been so pivotal and important to the Batman universe (I’d rank him #3 behind The Joker and Catwoman), then you should also understand just how much cinematic juice is left in this character. How do you NOT go after that juice when you know you’ve got an actor (Eckhart) who can truly apply the squeeze? Do people really think performances like his just just come with every Summer Movie Blockbuster?

UPDATE: Here’s what Two-Face himself (Aaron Eckhart) has to say on the subject:

MY VOTE: Bring back Two-Face!

  1. @amol

So your saying we’re not humans if we don’t steal things (download illegally )from the internet?

  2. @amol

I visit scribd quite often. I’ve downloaded two kinds of books: 1. Those that are out of print, and 2. Those that are in public domain.
Amol, tearing someone else down for your own failings, and making excuses for yourself only make it stink more.

  3. And by the way, I saw Batman: the Animated Series in Target last week.

  4. oh my god stop featuring the same villians in the batman movies, jesus christ how many times does the public want to see the joker?

  5. @Jago and Simon:

Hey thanks for the backup, fellas.

    @Amon:

I am from planet Sextune… it’s like Neptune, except I have sex and watch cartoons all day instead of asphyxiate. I especially like to watch Batman The Animated Series… except I haven’t seen it in years because I don’t have it on DVD, nor have I downloaded it. Not because I don’t have access to it, not because I don’t want it…. not even because it’s against the law. I haven’t downloaded it simply because the guys who made the show asked me not to, that sounds reasonable and I respect it. Call me old fashioned, but I actually buy my DVDs and CDs. I know how tough this business is and how terrible the pay is so I’ll pay what they’re asking, or I won’t watch. You keep downloading whatever you want, just don’t assume everyone is taking a free ride in the internet no responsibility zone.

And there’s no need for the formalities, you can just call me Malnu.

…..okay I lied about the sex part.

  6. …except, you know… with an “l”

  7. …And I thought Torrents was a type of site where it was possible that a guy may have GENUINELY bought something from a

recognised shop but he wanted to SHARE it with others thro’ that site. Just like a friend has a software/ movie on his CD/DVD and he comes to my home to share it with me.

    jago,
I know you. The other day all I had to do was mention some awards and you started calling me names like Oscar-zombie or
Oscar-slave without thinking twice how much it would hurt me (I’m a human too). The prejudiced language you used afterwards and your style of speaking after that event…Hurting, non-sensical and… smelling of insecurity. Since you hurt me without giving a second thought, yes… I definitely believe you ARE a human. Most probably you are a teenager and being an adult, I give you the benefit of doubt since it is not necessary for you to reveal your age here. The only (mathematical) point FOR YOU is: If occurence of event ‘A’ points to definite occurence of event ‘B’ does NOT mean that if event ‘B’ occurs, so also does event ‘A’. Just don’t think one-dimensional and jump to conclusions based on a single POV.

So again, if somebody is from another planet does NOT necessarily mean he is not a human. Do humans live only on THIS earth? There surely are more Earths like this out there with more honest humans. When I asked Mannu that question, I really was pointing towards the GENERAL attitude of humans on THIS earth. By the way, I am not always selfish and am connected to various NGOs here (mostly related to Animals and Nature) and do compulsory charity work for them as it is my duty being an human. (I never wanted to mention it but anyway…). Ofcourse that does not give me the right to steal but then… Torrents are not always about stealing, they are also about sharing. Do they only pirate or do they SHARE also? Atleast ‘www.esnips.com’ is a sharing site which I use frequently. The simple point is : The guys who actually buy things legally, DO have the rights to SHARE them also. IMO. If my friend has bought something and wants to share it with me I am not going to say ‘No thanks, I will buy it from the market.’

    Simon,

I understand your point. But I stay in India and rarely go out of Mumbai and our biggest shops have the Best Bat-comics
(Paperbacks) ever which I promptly bought without giving a second thought but unfortunately no Batman-TAS yet. I would be visiting US (specifically: Scotsdale, Texas, Arizona) for the FIRST TIME only next June (due to job reasons). And I am not going to wait that much.

And believe me, it cost much more to download torrents here in India than to actually buy things from the market. I would easily prefer the latter. But there is no Batman-TAS as yet. Similar to the situation…you could say… “Out of Print till now”.

And… in general, this world is about Evolution towards betterment. If there is Rabies, there has been such thing developed as an anti-Rabies vaccine, though in earlier days it wasn’t. So unless CD/DVD Companies could make copy-proof ones… there will always be a loop-hole to exploit. It’s natural in the scientific world. It’s upto the Research & Development departments to find a solution and I will wholly support it. Because then something will have evolved for the betterment.

  8. Even when I build softwares or sometimes web-sites, I build it defensively taking into consideration every loop-hole, weakness, threat or disadvantage it might have to face knowing that people will be trying to penetrate it at all costs. Because if my product has a loop-hole, it’s finished. Survival of the fittest, afterall. I’m not going to question or blame the morality of the guys trying to ruin my child of labour. It’s none of my business questioning the guys ALL OVER THE WORLD, why they are trying to hack my software/website. All I will do is try to make my software as hack-proof as possible. It’s that straight and simple. In fact, everytime somebody finds fault in my software, I feel happy. Because that means I know now where the defect remains and I eliminate it. Or …else I lose my job.

The same goes for copy-proof CDs/DVDs or rather the lack of them… I know just like me, the R&D depts. of those products must be working hard to find a solution to make those products copy-proof. Good luck to them. I hope the copy-right holders blame their R&D depts. rather than the morality of the people who exploit that loop-hole. Science may be, has Mercy but definitely no Morality. And perhaps may be not even Mercy for … Weakness.

That’s why in order to compensate for that, I regularly dedicate a part of my life for Nature (Animals and Go-Green projects). There are already more than 6 billion humans of us when there should have been only 500 million on THIS earth to even talk of Morality. We already are doing enough injustice to the cause of Natural Balance.

  9. Yes, there’s a loophole. And you’re exploiting it.

Bringing a movie to a friend’s house to watch is one thing. Bringing it over so he can copy it is different. That is why they have the Interpol warning at the beginning of every legit DVD made in the States.
Furthermore, don’t pretend to be on some victim’s high ground about this. I just did a single Google search with the words “Buy Batman the Animated Series”, and many options opened up. There is no way an IT guy would not have been able to do the same. This series is not out of print, and you would have had to look specifically to download a torrent, rather than get it the right way, to be able to do so.
I don’t know what all the comments about you being hurt are about, but it seems to me you’re trying to play the victim now. Then you come out with your charitable work. Good for you; doesn’t make it not stealing, though.
There are new commercials out there that address this very issue. I’m sure you’ve seen them, unless this is how you get all your movies. “Buying pirated movies is …” Can you fill in the blank?

  10. Amol, doing a good thing doesn’t make a bad thing okay. Don’t try to change the subject to overpopulation, or to evolution of technology. You said yourself, that rabies needed a rabies vaccine. In your example, you are willfully spreading rabies to your benefit. Your excuses don’t make it okay. To most people’s minds, I think, stealing is only okay in two instances: 1. To survive (so it shouldn’t really affect the entertainment industry) and 2. Because “I” did it. (Everyone excuses their own actions.) I don’t think you’re a bad guy. I just think you ought to go back to reason 2, and realize you’re doing a bad thing.

  11. Darthmalnu

I thought it was LEGAL to download movies but illegal to distribute them??????

  12. @amol
If i indeed “hurt you” then i’m sorry but at the end of the day you tried to and i quote “stir up” the conversation that chris j, shamose and i were having… you did confess so yourself, then denied it. Funny though that i do come off as a teen to you… somebody not to long ago said that about my looks so thank you both(guess thats the freshly squeezed orange juice i make most mornings). Also noticed that your like the people on the “leaked wolverine movie thread” that will go above and beyond to try and prove that doing a wrong is alright if you do good things as well. So in reality nonsensical would be to argue with someone that believes such things…

  13. “calling me names like Oscar-zombie or
Oscar-slave without thinking twice how much it would hurt me (I’m a human too). The prejudiced language you used afterwards and your style of speaking after that event…Hurting, non-sensical and… smelling of insecurity”

Lol… reading back on the comments weren’t the “zombie remarks” the only supposed “prejudiced” words i said so how is it that my not caring for the oscars and liking burtons batman more “prejudice”? Your too funny amol!!! seriously its hilarious when you get sooo defensive and like simon mentioned above “playing the victim”. I’m just going to jump back on topic before this changes to a moral debate about theft.

Like i’ve said before i like some of the ideas or most of the ideas kofi has mentioned above but i’d rather not see two-face or the joker(maybe just his face or his voice for a second) in batman 3… if and when its ever done.

  14. May be I tried to over-justify myself in the first posting, so you thought I was being playing a victim. Just Neglect the first posting over all.
But the second posting,…It’s more like me. FRANK and CLEAR.

(“I’m sure you’ve seen them, unless this is how you get all your movies.”)
No, If I really love a movie, I buy it straight forward from the shop. My collection of only Hollywood movies (excluding all others) counts to 73 as on today and only 8 of them have I downloaded thro’ torrents. And among my total aggregate collection of ALL movies (140+) , the total number of movies that I acquired from torrents is only 21 which is less than 14%. And those movies are the ones which I was unable to find in shops. Take my word for it. So you see, for me it’s NOT about saving money and hence NOT about piracy. For me money is not the issue. I think it’s more about COMFORT than anything else. I know, I get my physical copy DIRECTLY IN MY HANDS whenever I buy a movie from a movie-shop legally or when I torrent it, it takes only about 1.5 to 2 hours to download a movie on one terminal while I am working on the other in my office. Plus I don’t have to go thro’ the hassles of using my credit card as my company takes care of it.

If I order online who knows how much time it will take for the package to reach me from the overseas.

Believe me, my first priority is ALWAYS the movie-shop everytime as it is the easiest tension-free option but if I can’t find a movie there, the key-word I am going to use in the Google Search along with the movie name is not ‘Buy’ but ‘torrent’. It’s funny, Interpol issues a warning just before a movie plays but does nothing about the sites that are openly pirating those movies. I hope I’m not the one to blame for that. Plus I am not the one stealing. I am just downloading comfortably from a torrent site and I am not concerned where those sites get those movies from. It’s for the Interpol to check it. If anyone has issues with stealing, please raise them with these torrent-sites that are illegally distributing them as they are the basic sources and not the ones who are downloading.

(“Don’t try to change the subject to overpopulation, or to evolution of technology.”)
I was NOT changing the subject. I just think Morality is sh*t. Morality is self-justification and is subjective. Especially when it comes from any of the mouths of one of the SIX BILLION (!!!) cancer-like spreading homo sapiens.

The only mantra is: Survival of the Fittest. That’s more like what the great Charles Darwin said. Even when predators prey chasing a herd of animals, those who fall victim to them are the ones who are either ill, weak or lame. Because these are the only types that can’t keep up with the herd and hence are weakness of the herd. And in turn, predators are doing good for the Nature, by eliminating the Weakness.

If CD/DVD companies can’t develop their technology, can’t make their products copy-proof, it’s their WEAKNESS. Either they should work a way around or suffer for their weakness till they learn a lesson and make themelves more adaptable for the future by finding a solution. Ding-Dong ! It’s Time for some more Evolution !

So yes, if there is a loop-hole, I’m going to exploit it. It’s good for the CD-DVD companies in the near future. Atleast they will evolve to eliminate the plot-hole. Period.
Expect no mercy from me and I expect no mercy.

I hope I haven’t dogged the issue now.
And with that ends the issue of torrents, piracy, sharing, theft and illegal distributors.

  15. Jago,

The issue of me playing a victim was being looked at in a wrong angle. It was not about being a victim but about Hurting someone and yet being a human. It was only restricted to you and your assumptions about me and had nothing to do with the rest of the posting. Just like you hurt me with non-sensical stuff about me being a Zombie and a Slave and yet you are a human and so also am I inspite of downloading torrents which is hurting somebody else.

    It’s human to hurt.

(“how is it that my not caring for the oscars and liking burtons batman more “prejudice”?”)
I never really care if you/anybody loves Burtons’ Bat, Joker, Oscars or not.
That was NOT the basis for me calling you a ‘prejudiced’ guy. All I did was to mention Oscars at that time and on that basis alone, you ASSUMED I was Zombie and a Slave. Isn’t that a preconceived notion based on some imaginary assumption? Isn’t that ***Prejudice***? Isn’t that one-dimensional thinking JUST LIKE AN INEXPERIENCED TEENAGER. For you it’s all about superficial looks (Orange juices and all) See that? You are a teenager, because you still THINK like one (Had I mentioned physical looks anywhere that time ?) . Hence you love the Burton’s Joker. For you, it’s all about superficial looks. It’s does not matter that the Inner Part is hollow and empty… like Burton’s Joker. So may be that day you rebeled wildly like a teenager against me when I said “Burton’s Joker was about just copying the Tricks of the Trade from the comics but nothing about the Trade itself. The soul of the Joker was absent in Burton’s”. Because only a teenager gets ruffled when he can’t see what some other guy is able to. So you, in turn, felt insecure and reacted the way you did: non-sensical that day. I only support Nolan because he did not just copy it exactly like the campy comics but gave it an identity, a life of itself.

Really, I have observed one thing: The guys who are quick enough to call others ‘Fanboys’ are the ones who are ‘Fanboys’ themselves, as they are fanatical about comics and can’t bear to see someone taking a different studious better realistic angle on some character mentioned in the ***campy*** comics as long as the personality of that character is preserved.

Anyway, one can NEVER explain to a Two-dimensional Triangle existing on a paper that there can exist a Three-dimensional Pyramid outside of the 2-D paper which is the triangle’s only world. The Triangle canNOT even imagine a Pyramid, let alone believe in it. Just like – “OH GOD! How come Nolan’s Joker does not have a permanent skin color ?! And since he does not have that permanent color, he is not the Joker and hence Nolan’s movies lack in quality.”). Only a teenager’s Brain thinks like that irrespective of whether he drinks Orange juice for his Brawn or not. Again, (in case somebody didn’t get it.) it’s about the Brains and not Brawn.

In order to rate something, you first have to understand it. But I can understand, it’s impossible especially if you are a …Triangle and Nolan’s Joker is a Pyramid.

    But even then:
    1. Joker is not what I am looking forward to in Bat-3. He had already MADE HIS POINT and unleashed Chaos. It’s for Batman to reverse it’s effects.

    2. I see Riddler only as a guy suffering with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder related to Riddles which are traditionally harmless ones. But Nolan could make them 50% fatal ones if somebody wants to just see Riddler “kill” somebody. But the Riddler should still derive his pleasure by being obsessed with his riddles and NOT directly from the death of some guys those Riddles would cause. That is the nature of the Riddler and so a serial-killing Riddler is a strict NO-NO for me. It’s the Sadistic Joker who simply loves inflicting pain on others and himself, not the Riddler.

    3. Bat-3 should be about what The Bat has more to PROVE about himself. BB and TDK proved two different aspects about him, namely: His Origin and His Adherence to his Code of Conduct inspite of Adversity (The Joker). Bat-3 should be more about his Physical Strength now. Enter The Black Mask and The Bane.

    4. ‘Bat-4-The Final Chapter’ MUST be based on Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight Returns (1986)”.

  16. Just because someone downloads movies it doesn’t mean they’re thieves. I just downloaded T2 but I have it on 2 different bought DVD versions and I have it on my dvr. I just wanted it on my computer so does it matter?

  17. M-Cat,

    Thanks for the support.

Though I didn’t get this part:
(“…but I have it on 2 different bought DVD versions and I have it on my dvr.”)

Can you explain it in details ?

By the Way, T2 is the ultimate masterpiece and Arnie is the Greatest Action Hero of All Time. Isn’t he? I love Arnie and Ofcourse … James Cameron and Brad Fiedel’s Background Scores are awesome. True Lies (1994)…

  18. Amol

what I meant by that is that I have T2 on regular version DVD, directors cut DVD (I bought those) and I have it recorded on my TiVo (dvr for comcast) so should it matter that I have it downloaded so I could have it on my computer?

  19. Oh and I bought the HD DVD version on my iPhone!

  20. Dude, how can you go crying about your hurt feelings after a self-glorifying tirade about “survival of the fittest”?

    Such arrogance.

  21. Again just hilarious… At what point did i say it was you that mentioned physical looks, at what point did i say that i liked burtons batman because he copied the comics? At what point did i argue about ledgers joker not having permanent white skin? If you go back to the ” what will batman 3 be about” thread you’ll notice that i never said or argued about these things… You did on the otherhand argue with someone else about those things and your pretty much saying that i’m him/her… Isn’t that prejudice… Repeatedly calling me a teen ( inexperienced teen at that) isn’t that prejudice?
“Expect no mercy from me and i except no mercy” wasn’t that you just right up above the comment where your supposedly hurting because i called you a oscar zombie ?( in which you kept mentioning the oscars after every comment)…
So its ok to download movies illegally because someone put them there… I’m telling you you should take over the thrown of ” sit-down comedian of the year”. Either way i’m done with you… Your truly a lost cause.

    @m-cat

if you have the hd dvd version for your iphone you do know that you could have that file on your computer and view that “HD” version of T2 on your computer instead of the one you downloaded from elsewhere.

  22. Jago

good point. Didn’t even think of that – duh.

  23. Hey folks, this seems to be getting a little heated. Let’s all dial it down a notch, shall we? It’s been a good run and I’d hate to shut down this thread because people are starting to get nasty with each other.

    Thanks,

    Vic

  24. Ok, I want to ask you guys this. I bought the Ultimate Collector’s Edition of the new T2 “Skynet” Blu Ray. Well, the new Blu Ray was developed by Lionsgate, and as we all know, Lionsgate can’t get anything right… So of course, the blu ray only works on half of the blu ray players out there, unfortunately mine isn’t one of them.

Anyone know of a good program to rip and convert the blu-ray so I can play it on my computer? I have the blu ray drive, but it wouldn’t play, if I can convert it to WMV or something that would be awesome, want to see T2 in hi-def…

    @M-Cat

The issue is that Amol said he’s going to download all of a series of DVD’s that he does not own. I was just saying that I actually bought my DVD’s. I believe that Bruce Timm, Kevin Conroy, and company worked so hard and did such a great job on that show that I wouldn’t feel right getting them without giving them my monetary support.

Maybe if they make enough money from those DVD’s they’ll make more movies based on that art style and that universe they created.

My friend downloads movies, sometimes he gives me some that I’ve never seen before but had no interest in. Sometimes I liked the movie so much I would go buy it. But most of the time, I just watch it, go “eh, I knew I avoided it in the theater for a reason” and then delete it and throw away the disc. Not downloading movies is just something I personally don’t do. I know other people do it, and eh, I don’t agree with it because I always think that yes, movie studios make money, yes, a lot of them are rich, but that’s how the economy works, and I support it, I want to give my money to the people who make movies and shows that I like.

Like Dexter and Rome. I never subscribe to premium channels like HBO or Showtime, but I like the shows so much I buy the DVD’s to support them.

  25. Oops, bad grammar there, meant to say downloading movies is just something I don’t do. There are others, but that one is the worst one, lol.

  26. The way I understand it, there’s two ways to violate the copyright laws on a movie/book/music:
One is to buy it, and then show it in a public setting without permission.
Two is to not buy it, (it’s called intellectual property) and obtain it from someone who does not have permission to distribute it, whether you pay for it or not.
As far as I know, it’s okay to upload and copy movies/books/music that you own, for your own private use. If it’s not, then I’m at fault too.

  27. jago,

It’s rather funny, how you always call those who do not agree with you, as ‘comedians’ or ‘funny’. ( Yes, Shakespeare once said:

“All the world’s an entertainment.”. But may be you are taking it literally TOO MUCH.) That argument is not even worth taking seriously. And yes,… That’s TEENAGER-thinking to me.

Atleast I view the world Scientifically and think CD/DVD companies need to evolve or just keep suffering. More like – “Shape in or Ship out”. But you view the whole world as a Drama-stage. That’s dangerous.

Anyway a guy who weighs Burton’s Joker more that Nolan’s Joker is not worth to be taken seriously. Yes, may be I argued about that with someone different (I haven’t checked. I take your word for it) . But all you ***Burton-Bat lovers*** are one and the same to me and It’s makes no difference to me as I can target anyONE of you anyTIME without a giving a regard to what you think.

And yes, the whole argument started when, you brought your holier-than-thou image to the thread when you said:

    “Isn’t that illegal ?”

Now’s that sounds like hypocrite-moral-brigading to me. That’s ***Self-Glorifying*** to me.

    Simon,

    1. When I used this phrase “survival of the fittest” it was NOT about self-glorification at all. It was how about CD/DVD

companies are not fit enough to survive if they have a glitch.

And mathematics is neither self-glorification nor an opinion. Less than 14% of my collection is torrented.

    2. I should have completed my statement: when I said (“It’s human to hurt.”), it did not mean “It’s human to feel hurted.” but it meant “It human to hurt OTHERS.” If downloading Torrents is hurting the CD/DVD companies, so be it. Right now I’m more fit to survive than they are.

  28. @ simon

Dude trust me just drop it… Just like vic said its just going to get nasty and then they’re going to shut down the thread. This individual is just going to keep going at it for who knows what reason unless you do like i did in the other thread and ignore him.

  29. They need to bring back Two-face as a Vigilante/ally for Batman but not necessarily as a villian but just sort of a thorn in Batman’s side. Bring in Denzel Washington as Hush, Jude Law as the Riddler and a talented unknown actress as Talia Al’Ghul and thats it.
