Riddler (David Tennant) – because he seems very fit to the role.

Hopefully it would be TDK minus the stupid fake detective work (but add some REAL detective work), minus the dragged out ending, and minus the corny speeches about how we should feel sorry for Batman. Then it would be a near perfect film. And hopefully Two-Face is still alive.

How about Nolan won’t use Hush at all. It was a nice story arc that has 12 issues, and a smattering of different villains. Hush himself-not that interesting. The way he uses all of Batman’s foes-very awesome. But considering the only one’s we’ve heard of that still live are Joker and Scarecrow, I doubt Tommy Elliot will emerge in the Nolanverse. Riddler, however is much more pheasible.

Nolan will definetely lean towards Hush as a side villian, since Gotham general was blown up by The Joker .

I still wonder whether Nolan is going to clear Batman’s name as he was made a wanted criminal. I am leaning towards Nolan actually using Batman’s criminal status as a center point for the whole story and link it with one or more of the five people Harvey Dent at the end of the Dark Knight.
Nolan will definetely use Dr. Strange or Black Mask as these can tie in equally well with the criminal status of Batman .
Riddler is also a shoe in as well as Hush as there was a Hush reference in the Dark Knight-guy who had a bomb in his stomach to cause the big explosion for the Joker to get out.

I’m curious to see how they top something like The Dark Knight. Also, if you look at IMDb you will notice Batman Begins went to Theaters June 15th, 2005, and The Dark Knight on July 18th, 2008, both films are a good 3 years apart, so why wouldn’t the 3rd Batman movie come out in 2011?

I can’t speak to the Courier Post, but that seems odd as it certainly looks like a mainstream press site. But I *can* tell you that I trust sites like IESB.net and LatinoReview.com. They have sources within the studios and tend to “scoop” the trades by weeks, if not months.

Surprised, not at all. They were further along on TDK than they led us to believe. I’m happy that they’re keeping it quiet, so there can be some surprise.

If you read BOF regularly, Jett has been saying the project’s further along than you think.

The source weblink to the earlier story on a 2011 release date now points to a blank page – Courier Post obviously had to remove the story, probably because they made it up. Uslan was never quoted as saying 2011 at all. I also suspect these latest reports are fabrications – it would be a surprise if they weren’t working on some kind of story possibility and the total absence of information about the script makes me suspect it is made up just to get hits. The story about the Green Hornet film being dead was also made up – if HitFix knew Seth Rogen so well, why didn’t they check with him before running it? They just assumed that Chow stepping down as director meant the film was stalled and it was then taken to mean the movie was dead. Since I started my own movie site, I’ve been horrified to discover the total fabrications of stories that exist online and we should always be careful what we believe. Don’t be suckered in by some of these sites’ attempts to get more hits and more exposure. I always try to point out the flaws in these stories and express my own doubts.

Holy S&*$BAGS Batman! I cannot wait! Even if this one blows harder than Hurricane Katrina(what, too soon?) its gonna make an ungodly amount of money, a large portion of which will be mine, because, lets face it, the guys deserve it. They totally got screwed on the Oscars this year, so why not whore it out a little bit, and get some recognition for what has been great all along? Or they could take the high road of ROTK and just stick to the formula, and still win out. Both are pheasible. Either way, this is my 2nd most anticipated movie of the decade. The first being Avengers, and 3rd being Captain America. To put things in perspective, Watchmen’s like, number 42.
