Certainly hope they will consider making something new rather than just make a repeatition of the game like some often do which i find slightly boring, be better if they made a mass effect on either: First contact war or the Skyllian Blitz, i dunno if i am gonna watch it at least if its just the game story repeated into a movie, but guess one will see what they come up with.

Although it is interesting that Shepard was physically modelled after Vanderloo, Vanderloo definitely shouldn’t be playing this character on the big screen seeing how he is a model and not an actor. It would almost be like having the lead character in a film, that is based on a true story, being played by the ‘real-life’ person the writer modelled the character after. What is ‘acting’ really all about?

This was a fun game but I just don’t see how they could adapt it to film. When it comes to casting I would go with Dominic Purcell (The guy from Prison Break) maybe if he got a little skinnier he could pull it off.

The game is already like a big movie. I think a feature film would just demolish the whole thing some game companies are doing to make gaming more cinematic. Because games now get big actors and everything to try and merge gaming and film. Then they take one of the best examples of a playable epic movie and make it just a movie. Two thumbs down.

Yeap, the character is modelled on Vanderloo but he’s not exactly a known or bankable lead actor.

Matthew Fox has a very strong resemblance to the character as well, and I think could actually pull it off well. I’d love to see him in a more serious and badass role as the lead in a feature film.

I just wanted to say that Commander Shepard does not look like matthew fox, he IS Mark Vanderloo. The in-game character is modeled after him, so i think it would be nice if he portrayed Shepard in the movie… Just Check this out: http://ui23.gamespot.com/2166/ewwwtf_2.jpg
