Marvel has already hooked steadfast comic book fans to go and see Joss Whedon's The Avengers when it hits theaters this May. Of course, that doesn't mean the studio is planning to slow down on the promotional campaign for this superhero movie juggernaut, which is estimated to have cost twice as much to produce as previous Marvel-backed flicks - and will (to some degree) determine the company's forthcoming film slate, depending on how successful it manages to be at the box office.
Hence the continual flow of new official stills and promotional images for The Avengers, with today's batch including a more hi-res look at the film's version of The Incredible Hulk (brought to life via motion-capture by Mark Ruffalo).
Also included in the batch of new photos are an official version of a pic with Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), a new Hot Toys Action Figure promotional photo, and a higher quality version of the image of Thor and Agent Coulson onboard the Avengers' helicarrier, looking concerned about... something on a monitor (continue to humorously caption that pic as you like, of course).

As far as character design in The Avengers goes: many fans have expressed mixed to negative feelings about Captain America's "modern" outfit (specifically, the structure of his helmet), while the new incarnation of The Incredible Hulk has won over many people thanks to the more "realistic" muscular build and detailed skin/hair texture of the green CGI monstrosity.
Iron Man's Mark VII armor in The Avengers seems to be a hit so far, as does Thor's new metallic costume. As for Black Widow and Hawkeye, well, fan interest seems more focused on how the characters will be utilized in Whedon's film; especially with regards to whether or not Scarlett Johansson's acrobatic onscreen alter ego will amount to more than glorified eye candy (re: have more of an interesting personality) in Whedon's superhero ensemble adventure than she did in Iron Man 2.
That's all to say, at this point there's not much more diehard Marvel fans can do but nitpick early footage and images from The Avengers, while they wait for the actual film product to hit theaters this summer. Suffice it to say, May 4th cannot get here soon enough...
