Unused posters for Avengers: Endgame would've spoiled the appearance of Smart Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Endgame was the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and brought the Infinity Saga to a close in truly epic fashion. It's hard to believe that it's almost been a year since Endgame roared into theaters, but that anniversary is just a few days away. With most major studio releases delayed until July, including Marvel's own Black Widow, people seem to be feeling especially nostalgic for what was the biggest domestic opening of all time. Recently, several videos went viral pairing opening night crowds' reactions to some of Endgame's biggest moments, like Captain America (Chris Evans) wielding Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) hammer.

Endgame wrapped up most of the original six Avengers' arcs with what could be seen as varying degrees of success. While characters like Cap and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) got big send-offs, others had quieter endings. For example, Bruce Banner completed his arc simply by finding the balance between Banner and the Hulk, thus creating Smart Hulk. He was one of the few characters who almost seemed to have benefited from Thanos' (Josh Brolin) infamous Snap, as he spent the time between Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame becoming something of a celebrity.

In honor of the one-year anniversary of Endgame, Inverse decided to revisit some alternate posters created by graphic artist BossLogic. Last year, BossLogic designed an exclusive poster for Atom Tickets that featured the surviving Avengers and Thanos. Now, alternate designs for the poster have been unveiled, and they feature quite a few differences. Most notably, two of the designs would've spoiled the arrival of Smart Hulk while also replacing Thanos with Nebula (Karen Gillan). You can check them out for yourself down below:

The other major difference in the second poster is the position of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). The post-credits scene of Infinity War teased her MCU arrival, and fans were eager to see her join the Avengers in battle. While Captain Marvel's screentime was limited, she proved to be a key part of the final fight against Thanos, which could be why BossLogic considered putting her front and center.

As for Smart Hulk, fans are wondering if he'll be appearing in the MCU's future. A She-Hulk series is in development for Disney+, and there's a chance Bruce could have a small role. Ruffalo recently said talks are still ongoing, and that his appearance isn't official yet. If he really doesn't show up in She-Hulk, then odds are Endgame really was the end for him. It's a good thing it wrapped up his story well, even if some fans want him to stick around.
