A supposedly leaked image from the set of the highly secretive Avengers: Infinity War has emerged online treating fans to a first look at what would be the significant dynamic between Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland). The much-anticipated blockbuster is said to have already finished their six-month long on and off shoot (or at least, almost completed) mainly done in Atlanta, Georgia with the Russo Brothers, (Joe and Anthony, returning for the third time to helm a Marvel movie as well as Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely once again writing the script. Fans are promised an epic culmination of everything that has transpired in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far as almost every hero in the franchise work to stop Thanos (Josh Brolin) and the Black Order from their evil plans.

We now know that the Sorcerer Supreme and the web-slinging superhero will have a close working relationship in Infinity War - despite the two characters having not actually met one another (onscreen, anyway) prior to the events of the film - thanks to an interview that Cumberbatch and Holland gave at the D23 Expo, last weekend. Then again, it does make sense that the two of them would team-up, given that they are the only MCU movie heroes currently residing in New York City, as Infinity War co-director Joe Russo has pointed out.

The supposed photo has come from the Reddit forum, r/marvelstudios. While it's a bit blurred, we have a clear look at the right-hand bottom panel showcasing Doctor Strange and Spider-Man - both in their respective battle gear. "Protect them. They're not dead," the master of mystical arts tells the wall-crawling young superhero. Additionally the first row bottom appears to feature Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) lying in the rubble while speculations are running high on the website that the one from the top box is her deceased brother, Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). It is important to note, however, that Taylor-Johnson is not officially announced for the film which makes it a bit more of a stretch in terms of rumors.

We know that Reddit forums are usually very tricky to tread, especially in terms of segregating legitimate news from mere speculation. The site has been plagued with unverified news claiming to be genuine intel which is especially prevalent on boards tackling high profile projects like Infinity War. But the photo itself warrants a second look or at least a consideration to those who are clamoring to see anything from the film. If it eventually turns out to be fake, then props to whoever took the time to create it, as it looks quite genuine.

The said leak has come just after the first trailer for the film was screened over the weekend at D23 Expo, but it was only shown at the event to the dismay of many. Joe, however, promised that a teaser is coming "very soon" as they are hard at work with it, which gives the impression that a different clip will be rolled out and not the same one from D23. Meanwhile, just before the annual Disney gathering took place, a previous rumor suggested that a teaser could be attached to Thor: Ragnarok, coming this November.

The massive cast of Avengers: Infinity War is expected to attend Comic-Con International in San Diego this Saturday where Marvel Studios will close the day with a 90-minute panel. The company is expected to release more details regarding their upcoming properties like Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Avengers: Infinity War. Whether they decide to put out the first teaser for the ensemble film during the gathering is yet to be seen, but fans can look forward to a lot of great stuff coming out of the presentation.
