  1. I don’t think they should over-load Avengers 2 with too many other superheroes – other-wise it’ll get confusing & more like X-Men – Giant Man & Wasp mabey – or mabey The Vision – Black Panther looks too much like Batman for cinema goers.

    • Agreed, Add WASP, Ant-Man, Spider Man, Wolverine, add those and Avengers 2 will make 300 million + opening weekend. :)

  2. We NEED Luke Cage 4 a little more diversity,and U have 2 add Wasp,Giant Man,and the Vision.

  3. I wanna know where I can get a higher res version of that group shot on the first page of the article…sweeet!

  4. I want Wolverine to be in The Avengers 2 along with others that can’t be used, but he and all the other X-Men and others I like are owned by Fox and other companies. After seeing all the success that The Avengers gained though, I think Fox, and possibly Universal and other companies that own rights to other Marvel heroes, might just decide to sign rights over for the usage of some of the heroes that have made the comics so famous. But as always from a fan of comic movies, this might just be wishful thinking or could it?

    • Great Idea. Fans should petition Marvel, Fox and Columbia.

  5. wtf cap and hulk are now mutants?!?!? mutants were born w powers, not givin powers thru out side means.

    • Mutants are people that have mutated dna, when this happened is not relevant. (X men did not invent mutants)

      • Se what happens when you make a comment without doing a lil research?

    • “Mutates.” Not mutants. You need to look at all the letters in each word. And yes, they are.

  6. I say bring in X Men & Fantastic 4 to mix or add individuals per movie?
& get other casting members in case orig ones drop out IE
We dont see Orig Cap America in say Avengers 4.

  7. Urge Marvel movie with Iron Man, & Capt America & Submariner & to see
SHIELD undersea base & sub fleet??
    Profile Namor & Atlantis etc
Be a radical non Avengers movie.
& do movie about Nick Fury alone & his history to time when he became
    SHIELD director.

  8. Need a Marvel Theme park:
    US
    EU
    & Asia.
    alone.
    Be awesome exp.
    Totally Marvel.com park
    Be radical, add your ideas.

    • They have one…it’s called Universal Studios.

  9. Scarlet witch/quicksilver

  10. Keep the superheroes number down and keep their powers, flaws and egos as human as possible and you will see great movies written such as the dark knight 1, 2, spiderman 1, avengers, iron man, and captain america. Give them too many powers that people can’t relate to or too silly and it’s gets difficult to write good stories ala fantastic four, green lantern, the hulk, and spiderman 3, Joel schumacher’s batman 3,4 and superman 4.

  11. This should be called the list of 15 Avengers no one wants to see in the Next avengers movie. The only ones in this list that have any place in the next movie but hopefully not in it are war machine, dr stange, and bucky. Here is a new list that makes way more sence and isn’t as filled with sidekick wannabe heros. 1. We want Wolverine (no brainer) 2. We want Spiderman (again duh!) 3. The Original Style Nick Fury (S Jackson was worst idea ever try again with Stephen Lang or Kurt Russell) 4. Daredevil (but with no Ben) 5. The Thing 6. The Silver Surfer 7. Ghost Rider (Please no Nick Cage) 8. Cyclopse 9. Blade (Retire Snipes and replace with Idris Elba) 10. The Punisher 11. Emma Frost 12. Moon Knight 13. The Human Torch 14. Nightcrawller 15. Elektra 16. (because Nick Fury Didn’t really count) Then Dr Strange … I guess. Bam there it is people the list that make sence. No wannabe hipster everything is cool that is obscure geek list like above. This is the real list of Avengers everyone wants to see in the next Avengers 2 movie.

    • Murrayd33 is so dumb lol

    • Brilliant. You realize all of those characters’ movie rights are owned by other companies, yes? Anyway, it sounds to me like you just wanna watch an X-Men movie anyway.

Also, it’s not “hipster” to be familiar with the actual Avengers comic books, which have never featured half the faux-cool characters you refer to.

  12. Wolverine!

  13. i want wolverine to be in avengers 2

  14. THE WOLVERINE and THE AMAZING SPIDER MAN SHOULD BE IN AVENGERS 2.

  15. The Avengers movie is based on the mini series concerning an alternate reality developed by Franklin Richards, hmm great storyline Avengers should show a reserve team people whom have been watched by Shield, and then recruited.

    Black Panther
    Vision
    Giantman/Yellow Jacket
    Wasp
    She-Hulk

    Reserve Members

    Photon
    Falcon
    Quasar
    Moon-Dragon
    Starfox
    Jacosta
    Mockingbird

  16. Spider-Man, Storm, Wolverine, WASP, Black Panther, Ant-Man, add these and The Avengers 2 will make a run for 2 billion worldwide. Yeah everyone or most everyone knows that Spiderman is owned by Sony and Wolverine and Storm are part of the X-Men which is owned by Fox. But The potential to create a sequel and or set of sequels that could rival that of StarWars is something that should not be wasted. Marvel?? Fox??? Sony??? are U listening. Don’t Sleep On This. Since Thanos and his minions are going to be the Villains in Avengers 2, its safe to say that Cap, Iron Man, Hawk, HULK, Natasha, Thor,Nick Fury will need some serious help. Don’t go the cheap route and try and give us made up characters( Bay and Transformers movies). Give us the Best of the Best. And we will line up at the theaters and do the rest. Fans want Spidey, Storm, WASP, Ant-Man, Black Panther, and especially Wolverine. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!!

  17. The Vision would get my # 1 vote. He’s such an amazingly underrated character, and he has a fairly powerful array of abilities, including intangibility, laser weaponry, a sort of super strength (or the equivalent), ability to patch into computer networks, etc. You don’t necessarily need Ultron to introduce the character: a script rewrite could take care of this and a new origin story for him. I don’t get all of the affection for Ant-Man or the Wasp and no respect for the Vision. Especially when you consider that as lame and useless a character as Hawkeye is in the first movie, it seems like a crying shame that you couldn’t bring in the Vision. Plus, a robot/android character means cool CGI effects on screen. Black Panther would get my # 2 vote, because he’s also an amazing character, would bring some diversity to the lineup and he’s more or less the Avengers’ equivalent of Batman, more than Moon Knight, really (even if MK’s an actual ripoff).

    • Kent Allard – boy, do I agree with just about everything you’ve written. The Vision is simply a must for the next Avengers flick. Particularly with the things that can be done through CGI nowadays, his character would be a playground for the right, creative, cinematic craftsman. His origin book from 1968 (Avengers #58, “Even An Android Can Cry”) stands as one of most memorable and formative titles of my youth. https://www.google.com/search?q=even+an+android+can+cry&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7GGLR_en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=D3a6T8L-Naq16gHPro38Cg&ved=0CGAQsAQ&biw=953&bih=580

In that issue, the Vision takes on a good part of the then-current team before being formally enrolled into the ranks of “The Earth’s Mightiest Heroes”. (Part of me wonders if the scuffle between Iron Man, Cap America and Thor in The Avengers movie wasn’t at least partially inspired by that comic book.) He’s an original, fascinating character – would be perfect for celluloid treatment.

I also share your lack of enthusiasm for Ant-Man and the Wasp. Was never a big fan of either, and would much prefer to see other super-powered stars on the big screen before they get their turn.

Black Panther would be an interesting addition to the films. He also was not a top-ten favorite Marvel character for me, but I’d sure prefer him to the aforementioned mini-heroes.

I *did* like the Hawkeye(ie, “Hawk) figure profferred in the movie, although, like you I suspect, I found him an odd choice considering the deep bench Marvel otherwise offers. Thought they handled his character pretty well, considering.

Moon Knight as a Marvel Batman equivalent? Interesting. Embarrassed to say I never thought of that angle. I’ve long likened Captain America, probably my favorite single Marvel creation, to Batman. In the printed titles, at least, neither the Red-White-and-Blue Avenger nor the Dark Knight super-powers per se; both were more super-soldier/ultimate-athlete types whose physical abilities and fighting skills had been honed to near human perfection.

      • I like the sort of “neurotic” Vision who tries very hard to be human and who has doubts about his identity and that was definitely his mode back when he first appeared in 1968. I’m not sure about how the costume he has (classic version) would look on-screen; it’s more or less taken from the original 1940s Vision’s costume (the obscure, mystical hero: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vision_(Timely_Comics)) with some color modifications and looks very “comic bookish.” I think a revamped costume for “Avengers 2″ is a great opportunity. Psychologically, the Vision could become one of the most interesting characters in the next film, and the special effects to create him would make him as compelling on screen as Iron Man or the Hulk.

To my mind, I always made the MK/Batman connection immediately, although there’s quite a bit of the pulp hero the Shadow thrown in for MK, especially the true multiple identities and the network of operatives. But, the MK costume, moon- or Egpytian-themed gadgets, special vehicles, martial arts and detective skills, etc. really seem to place him in realm of being derived from Batman. It’s not entirely true, and I guess the Nighthawk (Squadron Supreme version) is the dead-on Batman pastiche at Marvel, but MK comes fairly close.

  18. Some I agree win , some not… a couple of my choices would be …

Black Panther , he would totally translate to screen greatness, insane martial arts skills, and a king to boot.

Circe , because The Avengers need another female on the team , and her transmuting, telepathtic, flight, strength powers would look good on film.

Quicksilver , his speed and arragance would totally look great in a movie .

Stingray , he could have underwater scenes, and Tony and himself could argue anout who has the best suit of armor.

  19. dunno that i’d consider Victor Shade an alias, one late in his existence, rather than just a name he uses when out observing and interacting with the public, with humans, undercover as one of them; it’s not like he maintains a life and career, etc., under it.

  20. Kind of funny Avengers takes place in Spider Mans hometown of NY and there’s no sign of the Webhead. His spidey sense must’ve been shut off.

    • or on vacation in another city or country lol

  21. Maybe he was in Queens visiting Aunt May or on an assignment with J. Jonah Jameson.

  22. It’s a shame that x-men and avengers are owned by different studio’s. I would love to see quicksilver & scarlet witch with a build up to the “house of m” crossover, would love to see the loss of hawkeye and vision on the big screen and the epic ramifications at the end of house of m

  23. Hey

I think they have missed one of the most important and famous marvel heroes like wolverine, X-men, fantastic 4 and most of all your friendly neighborhood spider-man. I think spider-man is gonna be a good match in avengers.

    • These comments are like a broken record. We didn’t miss them. Why would the X-Men be on the Avengers? Why would the Fantastic Four be on the Avengers? Aside from the fact that Marvel doesn’t have their movie rights.

  24. Me personally I don’t want to see Fantastic Four or any X-men in Avengers 2. I don’t really like the idea of superheroes already on “teams” getting thrown in on the avengers team(in the movies case). Marvel just need to keep doing more single superhero movies with decent character development then when they are thrown in with the Avengers you already know them you understand their powers and backgrounds. In my book the single superhero movies and this avengers team up movie is package deal cant watch the one w/o the others. So marvel should just keep doing single hero movie adding heroes as we go it’s going to make the Avengers 2 very epic.
On that note of single hero movies, is why X-men and Fantastic 4 member are bad/ meh idea for the avengers 2. To me a Wolverine or Storm would be just another X-men movie cause you know it we just be them against mutants from the x-men universe. Same with Fantastic 4 plus The Thing movie just sound like it wouldn’t be appealing.
Again with single superhero movie, the Avengers could go on for a long long time. Like for Avengers 4,5 or 6 could be a entire new team with no existing members. As long as the single movies build up to Avengers 4-6.

  25. It is better to bring batman, wolverine, spiderman, ghost rider….2 be listed in avenger 2,3,4,5………

    • Batman is DC, not Marvel.

  26. I would like to see Spider man and wolverine

  27. LO mejor

  28. All these peeps wanting Spider-Man and Wolverine in an Avengers movie… that’s just stupid. Ant Man and Wasp get my vote… they should have been there in the first one.

  29. how do i see the rest of the list?
