  1. In a previous post, I wrote the following: “Think about it: as it is we currently have three whose abilities revolve around their super-strength (Hulk, Thor, Captain America);”

Oooops -another typo on my part. I meant to group “Hulk, Thor, *Iron Man*” as super-strength-oriented characters. Captain America, for most of his career at least, did NOT actually have super-strength; just fully developed human strength coupled with massively perfected fighting skills. The Avengers film seems to depict Cap with genuine, super-powered strength, but I don’t think this is actually true to Cap’s original character.(There was a memorable series of Captain America issues in the mid-70′s that had Cap temporarily gain super-human strength; it actually caused the Falcon to struggle with some inferiority issues. But eventually Cap returned to his former status as a dramatically skilled, but still only human, super-soldier). Again, not a big deal. I loved the film, just wanted to correct my mistake.

  2. Scarlet Witch, Spiderwomen, and Storm(= Bring a little diversity.Need some more women.

  3. Real simple Captain Marvel because he is vital to the Thanos Story line and I think it would be cool to have U.S. Agent because he looks like Captain American but his costume is a little bit cooler and he is way stronger than cap.

    • i thought captain marvel was on dc not marvel…. miss marvel is the one who’s from marvel…. lol

      • Both Marvel and DC have a Capt. Marvel but even though DC’s version is the original (SHAZAM), they lost the name to Marvel in the 70s. Marvel’s version was first a man, known as Mar-Vell. Buy some back issues. It’s good stuff.

        • When DC bought Captain Marvel from Fawcett, Marvel had already snatched the rights to the name. Fawcett shelved the character after DC had sued them for similarities to Superman years before.

  4. All I want is Ant man, love that guy and Wasp too in the sequel and more love interests

  5. Agent Coulson will be Captain Marvel

    • I said the exact same thing a few posts ago, bc it seems to me like the perfect way to take the character! plus we all love Coulson already so we’d only love him more. i feel like it would give the audience a way to feel like we all could have powers someday too! fourth wall!

  6. What about Wolverine he is one of my personal favorites

    • Wolverine is a must

      • Yes but, like Spiderman/Spider-Man, they don’t have the rights at the moment, they belong to Fox.

  7. Forgeting Black Panther.

    • They mentioned Black Panther as one of the 15 choices.

  8. Wolverine, Spiderman, Nightcrawler, Storm, WASP, Black Panther.
That would make for one awesome sequel.

    • Yeah, followed by a huge lawsuit from Fox and Sony. ** sigh **

      • Yeah that would be a problem, it sucks that some of the tightwads at Marvel, Sony and Fox studios would rather file a lawsuit against each other, rather than work together and make a movie or movies that could have the potential to beat AVATAR. The Buzz for anything and everything Avengers is thru the roof. Adding Characters like Wolverine, Spider-man, Storm and NightCrawler along with Black Panther or WASP would create the potential for Avengers 2 to open with a 300 million weekend. If the folks at the respective studios cant bring themselves to think outside the box, and expand their horizons and give the majority of fans what they want then they should be ashamed.

        • How about an Avengers vs X-Men movie. That should satisfy fans of both teams.

          • that would be awesome to watch

        • Start some online petitions. That would be a start.

  9. Uhm why not “The Night Crawler”? or els a (sexy) female =D

    • A) Not an Avenger and B) Fox has the film rights to him.

  10. I wanna see Ant man and Wasp in it.

    • They gotta bring them in, aren’t they in the original team?

      • yes they were among the first avengers when it was created. but the sad thing was that they didnt add them to the first movie.

  11. if everyone wants these movies to add up to the Civil War storyline (though I havent read it yet) then they should go beyond that and push towards a World War Hulk movie (that was my favorite storyline by the way) or even to the new comic series X-Men vs Avengers possibly or even DC vs Marvel comic book). but that is my honest opinion on the whole Marvel storyline

  12. More fems please:
She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Scarlet Witch (and maybe Quicksilver).

  13. The VISION!!WONDERMAN!!ANT-MAN and WASP!!T’Challa!!Scarlet Witch!!!

  14. Spidey, Wolverine, Kitty Pryde (Because i think she’s cool), Storm (I want to see Halley Berry in it), The Human Torch (But seems impossible because Cap and torch was both portrayed by Chris Evans), Sif, Black Cat, Dare Devil and I think it would me cool if Elektra is there with him…. that’s all!!….. teehee:))

  15. Would like to see Rick Jones at some point. He used to be everywhere in those comics.

  16. Don’t bombbard me with studio rights and stuff but it would be amazing if Marvel Studios were able to put Deadpool in the Avengers sequel.

  17. add ant-man wasp panther and vision to the first six avengers an awsome sequel

  18. Black Panther’s gotta get in there at some point and while Pym is great we probably won’t see him and we’ll end up seeing Tony Stark create Ultron, though that wouldn’t be bad. Speaking of which you guys need a villains we’d like to see in future Avengers movies list.

    • Kang.

  19. WASP, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, along side Iron Man, Thor, The HULK, Captain America, Natasha, Hawkeye, Nick Fury all united together to fight the one true bastard that is THANOS + his minions. I say have Loki in there to. Loki at first allied with THANOS, but then THANOS turns on him, Loki then sides with The Avengers.(For just this once, after all he is Loki) Damn I smell money. Forget the stupid filming rights at different companies thing, they should do something outrageous, have the three companies agree to share the “rights” and profits for Avengers 2+3. Hey Marvel, Sony and Fox try it. The Potential gains(profits) would far outweigh any so-called risks. the boxoffice numbers would be in the Avatar category. Legions of Comic book fans would be stoked beyond belief, We could all say “We have been to the top of the mountain and it is good.”

  20. I like the idea of a Ant – man movie in addition Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 as a lead in to Avengers 2. Ant-man movie could also have Janet Van Dyne in the movie as just the girlfriend and at the end or after the credit she becomes Wasp. Easy 2 new members and I have no idea why War Machine wasn’t in this one so that 3 more for avengers 2. I think avengers 2 could use like 4-5 new members, so if they do a Hulk sequel She-Hulk would be a good addition. I would to love to see spider-man part of this but the spider-man rights are owned by sony or something? so as the 5 addition i liked the suggestion of black panther or Dr. Strange.

  21. There won’t be any shortage of super hero types to choose from but as with most things in life its about matching the right characters to blend together and create a cohesive story around. The big challenge is adding new faces to to an already successful billion dollar team and not upsetting the box office dynamic but some how enhancing it! Good luck with that one!

  22. …. Spidey, Logan, Cage, Pym and it breaks story but Liv Tyler as She Hulk I also liked Ms. Marvel

  23. Have Hugh Jackman as his InFamous character Wolverine that way I can see how he gets along with Captain America, Iron Man, Thor & Hulk

    • and have him fight the hulk like they did in the comics

      • haha!!! that’s awesome!!!

      • Wolverine fighting the Hulk would be so cool. It would be safe to say it would be a virtual tie.

  24. Definitely need another female and my vote is Wasp (because she was a charter member) or Scarlet Witch. Black Panther would be my next choice, though I’d like to see him have a solo movie first. However, one of the most interesting characters that I can’t believe has been overlooked is the Black Knight. He’d also do well in a solo movie first. Basically, I’d like to stay away from the heroes with strength, invulnerability as powers because too many of them have these generic traits.

  25. Nova makes the most sense to me as his powers don’t overlap with the other Avengers and since Thanos is the new villain, they will need a more cosmic profile. However, I’ll bet Adam Warlock is going to appear next as a mysterious presence to fight and then ally with against Thanos. Shame Vision is so closely tied to Ultron, he would make a great addition…

  26. Did anyone notice when Stark and phil walked in Stark was giving him advice on his girlfriend who played the Chello? Didnt the Scarlet Witch play that? Could agent phils brain patterns be copied? Could the human torch body that was in Cap be used to make the Vision?

    • Yes! Because Coulson was secretly dating the Scarlet Witch! ;)
No offense, but some of these theories are really getting a little weird…

  27. Wonder Man is a pretty good character, but more so when teamed his buddy Hank McCoy. And if not for rights issues, I’d suggest Beast as a possible Avenger.

  28. LOL! It still amazes me how some people still don’t know what studios owns what.

  29. The Sentry should be a prime choice for the sequel.
