best game that was a movie= chronicles of Riddick escape from butcher bay hands down trust me on this one. Even though the movies pretty much sucked. Pitch black was ok.

The warriors game to me is one of the best games ever i have 4 copies just in case one gets badly scratched up… It was both the movie and a prequel. I loved the whole cruisin all those places that i’ve been to… I was a bit of a wild child myself. So to me not all video games from movies suck… Just most lol.

I do have a question though… So is the avatar game going to be in 3d as well…?

I was referring to the fact that you incorrectly stated that the new Wolverine game was rushed. If you do a little research, you will find that it was anything but that. I’m not saying that the game is amazing or anything, and most of the time video games based on movies are indeed notoriously bad. I was just saying that the Wolverine game was not a rush job at all.

Yes I HAVE played the Spider-Man 2 game, and it sucked. The graphics (in game play) was blocky and the game play was repetitive and lost what little fun appeal it had within about 20 minutes of playing. The same goes for the recent Wolverine game, which was a little more fun but still lost it’s appeal VERY quickly.

And your comment about me not knowing what I’m talking about, have you ever heard of a little thing called an opinion? It’s something we all have. Thanks for being open to mine….

I’m a big video game nut and I agree with Ross and his pov.
Most if not all movie related video games suck.

Beware of Terminator Salvation,,, case in point… Wow that one sucked.

There’s a ton of titles I can chalk up to crap movie ty-ins.

Have you ever played the Spider-Man 2 video game? It was awesome. Easily one of the best movie-to-game adaptations ever. And while I haven’t played it myself, the Wolverine Origins game on PS3 and Xbox360 have had really good reviews and I’ve heard a lot of really good things about it. It was even delayed along with the film and they developed it more. It was hardly rushed. But then again, you are just a journalist. What are you supposed to know about the topics you write about?

Video game adaptations of movies are as bad as comic book adaptations, unfortunately. King Kong (2005) was fun, but I remember how awful the PS2/Xbox version of Superman Returns was. Graphics-wise, it really was like a 1990s game. I’m not the biggest gamer in the world, but my friends certainly are, and they usually skip these games. Iron Man was another bad one, I hear.

On another note, looks like Cameron/Fox are starting to SLOWLY talk more about Avatar! TRAILER! There are plenty of 3D movies out/coming out that we could get both a 3D and 2D trailer.
