Monsters vs Aliens will be at the three month mark in 5 days and it is still in the top 10 and has been this whole time. So how would 3 months be out of the question for Avatar.

Thx. I saw that somewhere else too but now I’m confused. /film and first showing are reporting that the trailer will be showing in front of rotf and some sites are reporting otherwise. We shall see – I’m there either way.

Most of the time the Trailer ends up on the net with in a day or two you would be better off not spending money on Transformers.

Well, it should be online right after showing it in the movie right? Because if it’s just a rumor, I don’t want to spend $8 just to see Transformers, that I was going to save for a rental… Unless Avatar’s trailer will be in front of it… but if the trailer will be online in HD at the same time, then Transformers is back to rental, lol.

I’m shocked to see very many people looking forward to this. So far the premise sounds really lame to me. I don’t get all the hype. Is it just because a couple of famous friends of his said nice things or are people actually excited about the premise? Because to me it sounds really dumb.

Not too long at all, Dcember 18th to March 5th thats 12 weekends, The Dark Knight had 11 weekends in Imax theaters.

And belive it or not, it may seem like a long time, but 12 weekends isn’t that much time, Monsters vs aliens came out on March 27th, and is going into its 9th weekend, and its still performing in the top 10 at the box office.

Avatar certainly seems like a film with at least as much box office potential as a rather average movie like Monsters vs. Aliens. Avatar will have more Digital 3D showings, more Imax 3D showings than MVA, and the winter season where Avatar is opening is less crowded than the summer season.

yeah i saw that. that would be pretty cool.
but what would be the point of watching a trailer in anything other than 3D if that’s what the movie is so hyped about?
