The longer runtime the better, after all the work Cameron has put into this film I wouldn’t want to sit and watch a 90 minute film, it would be such a waste.

This movie will be a rare gem of an epic along the lines of LOTR.Running time is not a factor, hhe more we get to see of pandora the better!

I too prefer (as hud do) movies, especially blockbusters that have long runtimes, and by that I’m referring to at least 140 min.
But of course, the’ve got to be pretty damned good since otherwise one could get bored a lot.
Personally, I have thought for a few months that this film will possibly cross the 3 hour barrier.

This is one of the reasons i love james cameron. All his movies have long runtimes and there fantastic.

He hasnt lost his tuch titanic great movie and dark angel fantastic show. And as far as i can tell Avatars story sounds great. The only thing id say Cameron is bad at is telling people what his movie is going to be bad, because he basiclly tod the story of avatar at E3

I love long runtimes. I hate those big blockbuster movies that only run 90 minutes.Long runtimes dont hurt the box office at all.
Great job on this trailer to who ever made it.when are we going to see actual avertising for this movie. I mean it comes out this and its budget is huge acording to the-numbers.com it is 250 million dollars. They need to do some serios marketing or i dought this will be very sucsessful i mean its june and no trailer. I understand they want it to be a secret but still.
Just for the record i do expect it to be sucsessful.

Countless director’s lost their magic touch after they went into their later years – Stephen Spielberg, Terry Gilliam, John Carpenter, George Lucas…. the list goes on.

Now only time will tell does Cameron still has his magic touch.

Um, the running time is most certainly not the only reason failed at the box office. And Cameron’s last film (you know, Titanic, the biggest box office grossing movie, ever) ran over 2 1/2 hours.

I believe that the only reason Watchmen did not do so well at the box office is because the running time was about 162 minutes. Surely Avatar’s running time won’t hurt the movie chance of becoming the biggest film of the year.

The longer the runtime the better. That’s one thing I can appreciate about cameron and bay – they make it worth my ten bucks to go to the theatre.

I’m a Trekker but this is my most anticipated film of the year; I just wish we had a trailer (a real trailer). I can’t see how anyone could believe, with the evidence we have today, that we are the only planet with intelligent life on it. We have trillions upon trillions of stars, and millions upon millions that resemble ours. The odds that there is at least 1 other planet like ours revolving around a star like ours is near %100.

Just ask Tom Cruise.

Oh man the fact that it might be 3 hours long just sucks…if the film is that long then I may just wait til dvd so I can pause the film half way and take a piss brake, but on the postive side most films I’ve seen that are 3 hours long have been awesome(mostly referring to the LOTR trilogy)
