About Jasmin Mohamed
Jasmin has been a fan of geeky things since she was a child. She spent 3 years in Film Committee while in college before being elected Chair of the committee her senior year at The University of Texas at Austin. In her time at University, she won two very prestigious geek awards. One was from Alamo Drafthouse for placing first (twice) in their Videoke event, and the second is a trophy from UT for placing third in a speech competition where her topic of choice was J. R. R. Tolkien. Yes, she spoke Sindarin in front of an auditorium full of people thanks to the Linguistics of Middle Earth class she aced.
After graduation, she went on to accept an internship at New Line Cinema where she worked under the Special Events Coordinator for Snakes on a Plane. Jasmin began writing about film when she became a projectionist in 2006, and can be found online at Geeks Unleashed, TV Goodness, and Screen Rant.
