The titles for episodes 78 and 79 of Attack on Titan season 4, part 2 tease a reunion between the Titan shifter brothers Eren and Zeke Yeager. The final season of the hit anime series based on Hajime Isayama's dark fantasy began airing in January 2022. The anime series began in April 2013, with Studio WIT  handling animation before MAPPA took over from the fourth season.

Making his debut in season 2 as the mysterious Beast Titan, before revealing his human form in season 2's finale, Zeke Yeager (Takehito Koyasu) is Eren's (Yuki Kaji) older half-brother. The son of Grisha Yeager (Hiroshi Tsuchida) and Dina Fritz (Nozomi Kishimoto), Zeke was part of Marley's titan shifting Warrior Unit, before defecting to Paradis. After helping Eren and the Survey Corps stage an attack on Marley, the two brothers incite their own rebellion with the Yeagerists, intent on using Eren's Founding Titan powers for their own purposes. Upon Attack on Titan's return on January 10th, season 4, part 2's opening episode, "Judgement" saw the Marleyan invasion force plan to keep the brothers apart in hopes it could prevent Eren from using the powers, but titles for two upcoming episodes tease that their efforts may be futile.

As revealed by the Twitter fan account Attack on Fans (via Comicbook), the titles for two upcoming episodes have been uncovered. The fan account reported that episodes 78 and 79 are titled "Two Brothers" and "Memories of the Future", which will air on January 24 and 31 respectively. The title refers to the inevitable reunion between Eren and Zeke, as well as hints at the expansion of Eren's ever-growing Founding Titan powers as the series heads towards an emotional climax.

Despite promotional material focusing on Eren's journey alongside Armin Arlert (Marina Inoue) and Mikasa Ackerman (Yui Ishikawa), the protagonist finds himself at odds with his once-close childhood friends. The first part of season 4 saw Eren break away from his friends and the Survey Corps of Paradis after his assault of the Tyber rally in Marley, when he is arrested for treachery against the Corps. His Yeagerists spring him from imprisonment, capturing the rest of the corps including Armin and Mikasa. In "Judgement", Armin and Mikasa are seen struggling between their loyalty and faith in Eren, and his plans to sterilize the Eldian population.

With Attack on Titan in its final act, many character arcs are winding to their conclusions, as such fans await to see who will survive a series known for its shocking character deaths. Eren and Zeke began as foes on opposing sides of a war the protagonist knew nothing about, and have now joined forces to conduct a sinister plan. With fans still grappling with the manga's controversial ending, future episodes promise to continue to show Eren's gradual downfall.
