According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brian Geraghty, Josh Peck, and Margarita Levieva have signed on to play the lead roles in ATM - a Hitchcockian thriller that centers around “three co-workers who make a late-night visit to an ATM and end up in a desperate fight for their lives when they become trapped by an unknown man.”
With Buried already under his belt, it sounds like writer Chris Sparling is quickly becoming the go-to guy for claustrophobic nail-biters. Although Buried doesn’t hit theaters until September 24th, it generated quite a bit of buzz on the festival circuit and inspired a fierce bidding war. Clearly Sparling is someone to keep an eye on.
The same can be said for ATM‘s three leads. Though his role in The Hurt Locker was largely overshadowed by Jeremy Renner’s Oscar-nominated performance, Geraghty showed some serious chops in that film as well as in the indie drama Easier with Practice. Josh Peck has come a long, long way since his Nickelodeon show Drake & Josh – films like Mean Creek and The Wackness have established him as a serious talent and someone poised for bigger and better things. Admittedly, I’m not as familiar with Levieva’s work. I can only remember her as Lisa P. in Adventureland, but I liked her in that film and I’m sure she’s capable of holding her own with the other two actors.
ATM is scheduled to start shooting in late September and the film will be the feature debut for director David Brooks.

Just when you thought it was safe to make a withdrawal...
While others have pointed out similarities between ATM‘s premise and the plot of Joel Schumacher’s Phone Booth, I’m hoping the end result will be mercifully different. Brooks is a relatively untested director and if anyone’s seen his short film Gone I’d be interested in hearing what you thought of it.
I’m excited to see Buried and if it lives up to the positive word of mouth, I’ll be equally excited to check out ATM. I’m a little burnt out on sequels, remakes, and reboots at the moment (happens every summer) so even though details are vague on ATM at this point it still sounds intriguing and worth following.
We’ll keep you updated on ATM as it develops.

I’m surprised Josh Peck is doing all these movies now. He’s probably trying to loose his Nickelodeon tag and all. ATM sounds good.
DRAKE AND JOSH SHOULD RETURN!!!! I LOVED THAT SHOW……*sigh*
I agree, but both of them have moved on. No other show can compare to D&J.
josh peck is actually a pretty good actor, just watch “Wackness” and see for your self
He’s an AMAZING actor !
I KNOW…..its like my fave show. dammit….i wanna see another show like it,but this one will be the best.
I think the Hitchcokian thriller is a genre that should make a strong comeback.
