Ashton Kutcher is set to star alongside Reese Witherspoon in the upcoming Netflix rom-com Your Place or Mine. A longtime presence in Hollywood, Witherspoon is among the most beloved actors currently working today. In recent years, Witherspoon's turned her attention to producing, with her company Hello Sunshine recently selling for a reported $900 million. Meanwhile, Kutcher is well-known for his roles in That '70s Show and Two and a Half Men, along with a host of movies.
Per Deadline, Kutcher will play the romantic lead opposite Witherspoon in Your Place or Mine. In addition to starring in the film, Witherspoon is also producing the Netflix rom-com. This means she likely played a role in casting Kutcher as her romantic counterpart. The project has multiple big names attached to it, as Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan are also producing through Aggregate Films. Additionally, Aline Brosh McKenna (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Devil Wears Prada) will direct and has written the original script for Your Place or Mine.
Kutcher is a strong choice as a romantic lead. He has a plethora of rom-com credits including No Strings Attached, What Happens in Vegas, and A Lot Like Love. He's also been a part of ensemble style romantic films including Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve. While it has been some time since Kutcher stepped into a role like this, it likely won't be hard for him to get back into the swing of it.
Your Place or Mine follows two best friends who live on opposite coasts. They decide to swap homes for a week not realizing that their whole lives will change.
