This fall has a lot of interesting offerings for fans that includes series continuations of Limitless and Minority Report, as well as a new take on The Muppets. However, there are no shows, particularly of the genre variety, that are perhaps more fascinating and potentially exciting than Ash vs. Evil Dead.

A follow-up to the film franchise starring Bruce Campbell and created by Sam Raimi, the new Starz series, as we’ve discussed before, seems like the most insanely over the top program to grace television screens this fall. Now, with less than two months to go before the series premiere, the network has unleashed some more details about the show in the form of titles and synopsis for episodes 1-9.

Found on the Encore website by Bloody-Disgusting, the descriptions of each episode are vague enough to avoid spoiling too much, though viewers who want to go into the series with no idea of what to expect may want to skip reading them.

Certainly titles like “Ashes to Ashes” and “Bound in the Flesh” are enough to whet our appetites, but some of these synopsis lines are just stellar. “Ash and team follow a clue from the demon Eligos,” tantalizingly reveals that fans can expect some demon action. Or how about, “Thanks to his drug-induced vision, Ash knows what to do with the Necronomicon“? Drug-induced vision, you say? Count us in!

The more we see of Ash vs. Evil Dead, the more excited we become. It’s hard to imagine that the most exciting series of the fall is one that could have easily gone the way of name-sake cash grab, but it really does seem like Raimi and co. are doing something interesting with the franchise for the latest instalment. They’re going there and then some, and the whole thing’s sure to be a blast when it all comes together this October.

Ash vs. Evil Dead premieres October 31st, 2015 on Starz.
