New photos celebrating the Arrowverse's presence at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 highlight The CW's superhero universe, and the addition of Batwoman (Ruby Rose). The Arrowverse all began with Stephen Amell playing Oliver Queen in Arrow, but it's since become something bigger. Grant Gustin joined to play Barry Allen in The Flash, while several side characters, namely Caity Lotz as Sara Lance aka White Canary, were spun out to form Legends of Tomorrow. Melissa Benoist's Supergirl show has become a bigger part of the fold since calling The CW it's home for the last three seasons.

The popularity of the series has resulted in some huge crossovers along the way, and last year's ushered in Rose's portrayal of Kate Kane aka Batwoman. She's now on the verge of taking on a bigger role within the Arrowverse, with Batwoman set to begin airing this fall. Her addition comes at a shifting point for the universe, as Arrow is set to end after a shortened eighth season. Ahead of a full debut for Batwoman and a goodbye to Arrow though, the Arrowverse will have a big presence at SDCC 2019.

All of the shows, except for Legends of Tomorrow, will have panels on Saturday, and EW celebrated the status of the Arrowverse ahead of them with new character portraits. The group shot brings together the leads from each of the shows, but individual shots of them all were also released. Check out some of the best action shots and portraits in the gallery below.

These new photos aren't terribly revealing, and the Supergirl photos may even look a bit odd to some fans of the Arrowverse. It was recently revealed that she's getting a brand new suit for season 5 that removes the skirt in favor of pants, but Benoist is pictured in this photoshoot wearing the previous version of her costume. Regardless, this could be the first and last time that this group is photographed together because of Arrow ending.

However, fans of the Arrowverse can rest assured that they'll see much more of these characters together again. The final season of Arrow is building towards the 2019 Arrowverse crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths. After the deal Oliver made in last year's crossover, it's expected that he'll die by the end of the event. Before that though, viewers will get to tune in during the currently-unannounced dates to see these characters help each other one more time. But, the Arrowverse will never be the same after the crossover, so fans would be best served cherishing moments like this photoshoot.
