The CW's 2017 DC TV crossover – featuring Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow – will span two nights in November. The younger-skewing network has been building up its lineup of comic book-adapted series since Arrow debuted in 2012, and now boasts TV's biggest shared universe with its DC superhero shows. The Flash spun off from Arrow and premiered in 2014, with Legends of Tomorrow kicking off midseason in 2016, while Supergirl joined the network - and The CW's multiverse - last year as well.

Although The CW featured its first four-show crossover last season, the 'Invasion!' story arc only truly spanned three episodes - that of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, with only a short preview in that week's episode of Supergirl. This year, however, the network's annual crossover event will span all four shows and now The CW has revealed when exactly fans will get to see this latest Arrowverse event.

During their presentation at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, The CW head Mark Pedowitz revealed the 2017 Arrowverse crossover will kickoff Monday November 27th at 8pm with Supergirl and continue with Arrow in the 9pm slot (a one-time move for the series, which will be airing Thursdays at 9pm this season). The crossover will then continue on Tuesday November 28th at 8pm with The Flash and conclude at 9pm in Legends of Tomorrow.

Arrow, Flash, Supergirl & Legends Crossover

About the two night schedule, Pedowitz went on to say it's a "Tight, concise way of doing it. [We] may go back to four nights next year." As Arrowverse fans will remember, The CW anchored their Fall 2016 schedule with its DC TV lineup, with Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow all airing at 8pm Monday-Thursday - that was before Legends of Tomorrow's midseason shift to the Tuesday 9pm timeslot. Certainly, it allowed for The CW to earn its best ratings in six years, but fans may appreciate this year's condensed two-night event.

Of course, between the crossover taking place across all four shows this year and Arrow's move to Monday night for the event, The CW is arguably alienating any viewers who don't watch all four series. The Arrowverse shows have crossed over more and more - last season featured a musical crossover with Supergirl and The Flash in addition to the big annual event - which offers fans of the shared universe more chances to see the heroes team up. But, it also causes trouble for viewers who only watch certain series in The CW's DC TV world.

That being said, the shows largely stick to their own storylines in their respective seasons, so the network's crossover event will likely only serve as a minor inconvenience to those who don't watch all four shows. Additionally, given the ratings and massively positive response from viewers, it's no wonder The CW wants to continue their annual crossover events - much to the delight of many fans.
