According to star Stephen Amell, this week's episode of Arrow will be one DC fans won't want to miss. Last week, Arrow returned with an all-new season and a new status quo. After the chaos on Lian Yu, season 6 began by establishing who survived the events of the finale. Characters like Black Canary and Wild Dog got new costumes, while the season's various villains all began coming out of the woodwork. And the episode ended with a new threat to not only Green Arrow, but Mayor Oliver Queen.

While Richard Dragon and Black Siren are gunning for Green Arrow, a number of people will now turn their attention to Oliver. With his identity once again revealed, it will be pretty difficult to change the public's mind about who is under the hood. As the trailer for 'Tribute' teases, however, Oliver won't be going down without a fight. He's going to get right out in front of the situation like any good politician and deny the allegations. But it looks as if there will be more to the mayor's big speech.

EW (via CBR) spoke with Amell about this week's episode of Arrow and the star revealed just what Oliver's approach will be to the photo of him as Green Arrow. He also teased that the speech will contain a cool nod to DC Comics.

Oliver Queen as Green Arrow

“I come in and talk with the reporters, and one of the things that I’m enjoying doing as mayor this year, and Oliver as a character to a certain extent, is I’ve tried to up the charm factor a little bit. He should be a little more comfortable in his shoes as a public figure. He steps in and deals with the press in a very, very relaxed way. Quentin says to him, ‘You seem pretty good with this,’ and Oliver’s like, ‘I’ve been here before.’ In that scene, we get to do the coolest name drop that we’ve ever done on the show, which I was really fired up about.”

While there are many candidates for which name drop would be the coolest the show has done yet, we only have to wait two more days to find out. Still, a few possibilities jump to mind. Given how many A- and B-list heroes and villains are already in the Arrowverse, including Superman, there's only so many people left that would truly excite fans. At the top of that list would have to be Batman and his alter-ego Bruce Wayne.

Wayne's company name has appeared plenty in the Arrowverse and nods to Batman and a brooding vigilante have featured into the various shows for years. Still, we've never heard anyone say 'Bruce Wayne' or 'Batman.' DC has been relatively gun-shy about Gotham's protector appearing on the show, despite his existence on FOX every week. But with Oliver confronting rumors that he's a vigilante by night, now would be the perfect chance for the show to bring up the Dark Knight. Given that, it's not hard to imagine Oliver referring to similar allegations arising for his Gotham counterpart.
