IMHO, having Mr. Millar as a director and a descent plot, this film gets 50/50 on expectation.

I’m in total agreement with you on this JL movie being a train wreck. Every bit of news I find awful and discourageing.

Yeah, and now he’s supposed to be working on this AND Mad Max 4 at the same time? Oy…

Well if the rumor(s) of Miller getting the greenlight for MAD MAX 4 and the HAPPY FEET sequel are true…I could see JLA not happening.

Can’t imagine how any director can helm 3 mega-budget productions con-currently…especially with a looming SAG/DGA strike this coming June. Although to be fair, the HAPPY FEET sequel would only take a few weeks for all the motion-capture work. The bulk of that film will lie in post-production.

Plus, now we’re suddenly getting news that WB is actively hearing out writers for Bryan Singer’s SUPERMAN sequel. If all this is true, something’s up over at WB.

Yeah, that’s just crazy… how many movies can a guy work on at once? You’d think it would be: ONE.

I guess the strike is throwing everything into doubt.

I’m STILL pissed that Hal’s not GL. Happy to see Barry, tho.

WW’s supposed to be a nice, big, healthy gal,not a skimpy teenybopper. Let’s see…..this girl’s too short, too blonde and too young to be WW,not to mention her bust doesn’t hold a candle to WW’s (sorry, folks, but come on!). This is almost as bad as the Rupert Evans Superman rumor (that’s false,BTW).

Looks more like “Anorexic Girl” to me than Wonder Woman. ;)
ZAR.

Not that I support the choice, but you’d be AMAZED what the right bra can do, LOL!

She would be better suited as Cassie Sandsmark/Wonder Girl. If they’re casting young, forego JLA and make a Teen Titans film!

I would have liked a stronger looking Wonder Woman, but we’ll see. I wanted a bigger “Storm” in The X Men as well, but Halle did ok. Alittle wimpy, but ok…I guess.
Oh well.

I think they have casted this incarnation of Wonder Woman as a petite, young, pretty female mainly to appeal to the teenage and early-20s male crowd, who are always the prime targets for blockbuster action movies.

I think the thinking is probably that a tall, Amazonsque superhero woman would intimidate and frighten off a significant segment of that market, and that might hurt the film at the box office.

Movie studios create movies by committee these days, and always with a view to maximizing profits. Even a slight “intimidation” factor in the star might dent box office numbers just enough to label the movie a failure.

I just saw her in Restraint, renamed from a previous title. She has the WonderWoman body. Just see the movie. She will handle the role very well.

It difficult to translate comic to movie format but with Ironman and Batman it can be done with a good script as well as the cast
