The film version of the 1980’s television show The A-Team has been in development for almost a decade now. Every so often there has been movement on the project, but the last anyone heard, a script was being written by James Bond screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. However that was quite some time ago, and no director has been in place.
This has now changed.
John Singleton, director of Boyz n the Hood and 2 Fast 2 Furious has now come on board to direct.

The A-Team, which ran from 1983-1987, followed the adventures of four former soldiers who are on the run after being accused of a crime they didn’t commit during the Vietnam war. They banded together to become a crack team who helped those in need. That is… if they can find them.
No stars have signed on yet, but favorites over the years for team leader Hannibal have been: Bruce Willis, George Clooney and Mel Gibson. However, would any of these stars be willing to pick up Hannibal’s trademark cigars?
For Willis could it be too much action?
Could it be too much like Clooney’s Ocean’s franchise?
Might it just be too much acting for Gibson?
Who knows?
We should find out soon, as the film moves forward in development.

I loved the A-Team and I guess a film version is due….. But man, is this the best Hollywood can do. Lately its been remake after reboot after re-invision…

There’s so many unique storys out there for sci-fi / action to cover……
This stagnant, bland, remake all
the hit tv shows, creative vibe going on with all these remakes….. Its overwhemingly crappy.

Forget Survivor tv finale it will be in a 2 hour motion picture.
Bruce Willis as Hannibal. Sounds great….and then can he take like a 3 year vacation.

I’m really hoping for a reboot of “Welcome back Kotter”. The comedic twist, Travolta plays Kotter !!!!!!
