Heath, thanks for making your update into a comment…I got notice by e-mail and had a chance to read it “fresh.”

That’s sounds like a good tactic and I hope this occurs sooner than later.
It still does blow for the writers that have to walk a sidewalk until summer and the shows we love fade away…….
Now if the actors strike (unless its alongside the writers) I doubt they will get any support from the fans. Even though Clooney needs the cash…
^
I have heard that the Studios have enough programming to hold out until summer and beyond if there reality show blitzkreig fails before then.
I hope it does and viewers (neilson’s) turn off there tvs in support…(But I don’t have much faith in them).

Letterman needs to take that stick out from you know where and also really IMO needs to revamp his set. Keep the band, change the look a little. ?? Could have done it during this downtime. ?? Doah

Other than Terminator and Jericho, no real new TV. I think maybe a handful of other shows, but that’s it.

I’m pretty sure they didn’t get to film the entire season they had planned out for (Terminator/SCC).
I’m not sure* but I think they only shot like 10 eps so far.

Don’t know about Jericho..

Jericho is in the can, I think. They only did like 6-10 episodes. No real competition, so I think it may work and continue on! Vic’ll like that!!

I know the Studios will be watching the ratings very closely on Jericho and all scripted shows coming up.
Its like cash-flow-barometer for them.

(IMO)…
When this is over and 24 comes back on I bet your going to see the biggest ratings for that show ever… Folks I know are jonesing for that show allready….

Oh yeah. I think people will be upset in a week when shows aren’t on the air. Or maybe everyone will read books. I’m reading my first Stephen King novel (after reading his short story collections) called CELL. Intense!

I couldn’t tell you why I haven’t read King before, sorry!

King is great! A true master and a living ledgend.

I’ve read alot of his books and there all good in a horrific kind of way….
(IMO)
I would reccomend “the Stand” but the strike will be over before you finish that one. Lol.
^
If your a fan of “Jericho” I reccomend “Swan Song” by Robert R.McCammon. A intense post nuke war drama…
There’s also a book that came out recently that I havnt read but I heard its chilling. Its called “A man and a boy”* I’m prob wrong with that title. I’ll have to get back to you on that. But its a story of a man and a boy set post ww3.

Apparently its a very base and depressingly chilling read.
Swan Song is a little bit more uplifting…..

Never did a story have such real characters as the Fully Abridged version of The Stand.
Everytime I’m unlucky enough to be in Vegas I think how it would look post bio-war.
^
I looked worse than Resident Evil 3 and I’m talking about a book. That’s how good King is….

Speaking of post-apocolyptic novels, Lucifer’s Hammer, by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle, rocked.

I seem to recall that The Stand and Lucifer’s Hammer both have a “cast of characters” list in the front pages. This was helpful, as so many story threads were woven in.

Oh yeah Jim, Lucifers Hammer was good too!
