Ok, not everybody, but geez… Smallville is one of my favorite shows, but even it has to resort to extremes for the sake of the “killer cliffhanger season finale”.
The bummer is that unlike a show like Fox’s 24, where you never know who they might kill off, you can be 99% sure that anyone who is a regular and is in danger is going to survive quite nicely, thank you. Call it the “Star Trek Syndrome”: If you’re a crewman we’ve never or barely seen before, be prepared for that last paycheck. If you’re a regular, it doesn’t matter if you’re turned into a prehistoric creature… your DNA can be reversed and you’ll be restored back to your happy little self.
Kind of takes the drama out of it, ya know?

I say that:
- Jonathon is just knocked out.
- Lex will get to a phone to dial 911 or someone will walk in (although nobody seems to be handy at the moment).
- Chloe…. I predict that I will be very annoyed with her return, since I saw her walk into the house about one second before it exploded. Viewing frame by frame on my Dish PVR I could see the explosion engulf her. How the heck does she survive THAT?
As far as Lionel Luther, what an amazingly evil character. Getting his head shaved…. does he become Lex through some experiment? In a way that would be cool, but then it invalidates all the time spent on developing the Clark/Lex relationship.
The actress who portrayed Kara… did the director insist that she act badly?
I hope the writers have something really creative up their sleeves for this one…

Personally, I can’t get enough of Lex’s dad, and I think it would be a huge mistake to turn him into Superman’s nemesis instead of Lex. Watching Lex go from “nice guy trying to do good” to one of the most evil masterminds on the planet is fascinating psychology, to say the least.
In the Superman movies, Gene Hackman played Lex, and Christopher Reeve played Superman. Hackman is about 22 years older than Reeve in real life, so having Lex’s dad become the nemesis might actually work in terms of age.

Nah, Lex is supposed to be about the same age as Clark.
Vic
Um… no, Lex Luthor is “supposed” to be much older then Clark.
Ok, I did some digging and Lex *is* supposed to be older than Clark, but nowhere near 20+ years. Maybe 10 years older, tops.

I can almost hear the writers sitting in the meeting room, going, “We don’t need to stay true to no stinkin’ comic books!”

Hey are u guys making another season. I hope u do. i want to see what happens to Clark and Lana. Are they going to be together. Are they going to love each other. Are they going to get married? About Lois? is she going to be with Clark at the end? Please respond.

Of course in the comics Clark didn’t meet Lois until he started working at the Daily Planet…
Vic
I think chloe actually died and lana went away right clark will come back to earth later on with all his superpoweres developed flying skill and all that.
Lex got poisoned or something he will probably make it somehow and get back at lionel luthor
( kill him ) and since his and clarks friendship is over everything seems like Lex is gonna get evil
Hope so!! I hope they dont make clark starting to work at the newspaper like in the comics that would suck hope they redo it somehow
Btw lex is so easily influenced to become evil like buhu dad was mean clark didnt tell me about his superpowers now i must destroy the world ^^
Smallville is so cool, hope Lana gets out of Clarks life for good, interesting to see how lex turns evil, bring season 5 quick, want to see how lex/clark relationship evolves when he is evil
isint louis supposed to be the same age as clark?
On the show, it seems like Lois is supposed to be at least a couple of years older than Clark. Remember she dropped out of college while Clark was still in high school.

Smallville is the best show on TV. I looked forward to coming home from work every day and seeing Smallville. It came on here in Branson, MO at 6:00 every afternoon and twice on Thursday. Finally, a series on TV that the whole family can watch. It is very refreshing to see this. I think all of the actors, especially Tom Welling, are very talented. He has the most beautiful smile and eyes. I just love the show. Please put it back on the air with a new series, or just reruns. Thank you so very much.

I think Lex’s dive into the darkside had to do with constant rejection from the masses due to a shadowed reputation that he was handed down from his father…I think one of the key players in this was Jonathan Kent…We all know that Lex did nothing but trying to be a friend of the family…and all JK did was shoot him down…I think the constant rejections sparked the germination of Lex’s ulterior motives…
what the heck!!!!!! I am so mad right now, everyone is dead!!!!!!!!
Smallville is the best show I have ever seen. I don’t really care if they go by SUPERMANS story. Smallville is much better. After seeing last nights episode, I am so PISSED OFF! I can’t believe Lana died!! I think that Clark and Lana were meant for each other. About Chloe, she is amazing. Clark would be no where without her. I’m hoping that Chloe and Lana SUDDENLY come back to live. After all, it is Smallville. I gues we’re going to have to wait till next season. I seriously can’t wait.
