Good show!

And I’ll admit, I’m actually looking forward to FF2. I thought the first one was going to be awful but I actually had fun watching it and I’m expecting much for the same for #2.

Marina,

I have some seriously low expectations for FF2. We’ll just have to wait and see. :-)

What do you want to bet we’ll end up with the first release of Grindhouse on DVD being one for each movie, maybe even without the missing reels? Given the terrible showing at the box office you just have to believe they’ll pull something like that. And, you know, I’ll probably play their game just because I’d like to support studios taking some risks, but it’ll still annoy the hell out of me.

Hap, are you kidding me? They’re going to come out first with the “standard” version, then the four-DVD special-directors-edition with the missing reels, and finally with the individual movies, one per DVD. ;-)

Ah, the Peter Jackson model, eh? I have a sneaking suspicion we haven’t seen the end of that DVD release approach yet.

The END of that approach? LOL :-)
I seriously doubt that. Really it’s a smart way to bring in more money from one DVD title, however they have to be careful not to cross the line and make the prospective buyers angry. Of course the flip side is that it could HURT the initial DVD release, especially if it’s pretty bare-bones and people assume there will be a more deluxe version coming i a few months.
