Aw man, there’s another movie I can scratch off my list. :-(
I was trying to decide between Anchorman and Spidey 2 last week. I chose to see the latter. It was okay, but I walked away mostly underwhelmed.

Why underwhelmed? Was it the “too much time spent on the characters” thing?

Yeah, it was mostly that. I like action scenes that last a while, but not too long, if that makes any sense. With only a couple of exceptions, the action scenes in Spidey 2 didn’t last long enough for my taste, and for all the character development, I didn’t find the chemistry between Peter and Mary Jane all that convincing. Also, the character of Harry didn’t bring much to the table; he was actually quite annoying.

Yeah, Harry kind of reminded me of Hayden Christensen: “Obi Wan is holding me BACK!”. Whine, whine, whine.

Review: The Village

Seems like people are pretty evenly split on this film… I’ll cut to the chase and say that I liked…
